While I do like the products, the delivery service they use is horrible. They wont answer the phone, (which i had to get from butcher box since they don't publish one) they have had my perishable items "out for delivery for over 27 hours, no updates, no idea when my box is coming, no way to contact them to find out and no idea if the over $300 is spent on my order will be any good. The only answer i could get from butcher box is "wait a few days" I am canceling my subscription, encouraging my family to do the same. Back to a company that can be trusted, Omaha steaks
The meat quality is generally good and there are plenty of options available, but we experienced repeated issues where selected meats were forgotten in our order. Even though we signed up for a year of free steaks, there were multiple occasions where we were fully charged on time. At one point, the delivery was two weeks late, and most of the meat was missing. When I reached out to customer support, they seemed indifferent to the fact that $190 was spent and only 3 out of 7 items arrived, along with the delay. They offered to send the missing items the following month, but that never happened. Due to these ongoing and unresolved issues, I decided to cancel our box.
We ordered a large box, and the first steak package we thawed had a tear, causing blood to spill everywhere and rendering the steak spoiled. A few days later, I opened the second piece, and it too had a tear in the packaging, resulting in blood spilling everywhere. Additionally, it doesn't smell fresh. I'm canceling my subscription, as $300 feels excessive for exposed and spoiled meat.
I ordered a subscription service as a Christmas gift for my dad, placing the order in November with a promised delivery between December 19th and 23rd. Now it's the 24th, and it still hasn't shipped! The customer service is terrible; they seem indifferent, and now my dad is left without a Christmas gift. I would not recommend this service to anyone!
We’ve been customers of Butcher Box for many years. Their customer service is the best. The two times we’ve had a delivery problem, they were on it immediately. The meat and seafood is excellent. I have no complaints with any aspect of the company.
I've had Butcherbox for years. When a delivery has damage or something goes wrong they used to take care of you. Those days are gone. My box showed up early while on vacation. Tried to prevent it from being delivered with no luck. Told when I get home look at it and it will be taken care. By taken care they mean a replacement for half price. So I paid full price for thawed out ruin meat that wasn't my fault. My box has been delivered between the 17th-23nd for the last year. Everyone in customer service is smug, passive aggressive and judgemental. I will no longer be a customer after this shit service.
