Review Time
The prices for wines and spirits are excessively high, and many of the food items I noticed were well beyond their 'use by' date. However, the most disappointing aspect was the owner/manager, who is arguably the rudest and least helpful person I have ever encountered.
I purchased a couple of bottles of premium whisky online and received email confirmations for the order. Twelve hours later, I received an email stating that it was out of stock. I frequently buy wine and spirits online, and this is the first time I've encountered such an issue after receiving confirmation of stock. Very disappointing service.
After being a loyal customer for years, I was surprised to encounter a different standard of service after the new management took over. Staff seemed uninterested unless a big purchase was being made, making me feel like I was wasting their time. On one visit with a friend, we left after encountering a staff member who was openly rude and appeared to be intoxicated. They seem to think they are superior simply because they can afford to drink all day. How disappointing.
