On the bright side, most fares were straightforward, and we arrived at our destinations on time. Many drivers spoke English, aiding communication. However, we did have a particularly bad experience on one journey. After being picked up for a Saturday night out, the driver took a wrong turn and ended up in very narrow alleyways. I tried to communicate in English that it was too tight, and even used hand gestures, but he didn't understand. He continued down the alley, eventually having to reverse after getting stuck, hitting a pedestrian's hand along the way. The driver didn't stop to check on the person and continued reversing while passengers grew anxious. Once we were out, my partner and I exited the car and opted to walk to our destination. This situation could have been avoided if the driver had a basic understanding of English and recognized the alley's impracticality.
Caution! I wish I had read previous reviews before trying this service. I requested an immediate ride in Barcelona using the app. I couldn't locate the car, and the base charge began increasing after five minutes. Eventually, I canceled the ride but ended up being charged over $14 USD without receiving any service. What a scam.
