I really enjoy the café at the local square, but every time I visit, there are at least 4 or 5 tables occupied by people using free Wi-Fi on their laptops. There's one individual who seems to occupy the same chair daily, with a cold coffee in front of him; I half-expect them to cover him with a sheet! Today, there were even meetings happening at two tables. I usually have a stroller with me, so thankfully I didn't today; otherwise, I would have needed to take it upstairs or sit outside. I appreciate the hard work of the two staff members, although they often seem overwhelmed, which might explain why the place isn't as clean as it could be. The floors haven't been mopped in a while, and the furniture is quite dirty and worn. One chair, in particular, is so uncomfortable that you end up looking at your feet because of how it folds you in half. This café is always bustling since it's the only chain in this area, and I truly love it, but it's a shame about those few issues.
I really enjoy this cafe at the square in Belfast, but every visit seems to have several tables occupied by people using the free Wi-Fi on their laptops. There's one man who always seems to be there, sitting in the same chair with a cold drink. Today, there were meetings happening at two tables. I usually bring a pram, so I'm grateful that I didn't have to navigate upstairs or sit outside this time. The staff are fantastic, but they often seem overwhelmed, which may explain why the cleanliness could be improved. The floors appear to have not been mopped recently, and the furniture is showing signs of wear. One chair, in particular, is so low that when you sit, you feel almost folded in half. This cafe is always busy as it's the only chain in this area of the road. I love it, but there are a few things that could be better.
I visited this cafe in the city center two weeks ago and had a really disappointing experience. The customer service was terrible. They only offered paper cups because the staff said it was easier due to being understaffed, and when I asked about it, I was met with indifference. The coffee was lukewarm, which was just unacceptable! I also tried to reach out to customer support the same day, but after several messages, I still haven't received a reply. With so many cafes around, I believe any other place would be a better option, even fast food spots!
I stopped by for coffee and a snack at this location. Unfortunately, they were out of flapjacks, so I chose oatmeal and cranberry cookies instead. When I got to my table, I discovered they were burnt! I returned them for a refund, but the staff claimed that was how they were meant to be. I mentioned that as a retired health officer, I knew those cookies were definitely burnt and not of acceptable quality. After some reluctance, they finally refunded me £5.80!
It's unfortunate that this branch is in such a dirty state. The hardworking staff deserve support from professional cleaners. They earn enough, and baristas shouldn't have to take on cleaning duties. This might be the dirtiest cafe in the area. It's time for the company to improve its cleanliness.
The coffee and snacks here are of good quality, and the service is quick and polite. There are various seating options, from comfortable spots to wooden chairs suitable for working on laptops or tablets. This shop tends to be busy, but it is generally kept clean. The staff seem dedicated to doing a great job.
This cafe offers the best coffee among major outlets, but don't expect to find napkins readily available. If I ask for one, I might get it, but that's about it. Most places don’t even keep them on the shelf next to the water and sugar. I really don’t understand why they are so stingy with them.
I visited this cafe at a designer outlet and ordered a sticky toffee cheesecake for £4.85. What I received was a tiny, dry piece of cake topped with a gelatinous substance. It was absolutely unappetizing, and I left feeling very disappointed.
