An excellent stopover in a very friendly town. Located in the heart of the town, it provides an easy walk into the centre where there are lots of good facilities. There is also a market on Saturday mornings. A secure gated site that is very quiet overnight. EHU, Wi-Fi, MH services provided. Will definitely return. Thank you to the people of Montville for providing this facility and making us feel so welcome.
The maintenance of the area is very poor, the electric connections doubtful to say the least.As it rained for a while we ended up from being on a dry spot in the middle of a small "lake".The location of the camper place is perfect.
Should have realised that when it said on the app 3 pitches remained out of 49 it actually meant that most of the site was suffering from flooding and so CCP had to reduce the number of vans being allowed on - I really wish CCP explained that explicitly on the app! Thinking that there really were only 3 pitches, we booked for 2 nights and, upon arrival, wish we hadn’t… the pitches are grass and very uneven.For anyone who avoids road noise, please be aware the D914 - a busy dual carriageway - runs adjacent to the site with traffic through the night. Think there must have been a typo in the description on the app which states the CCP is a 5 minute walk from the city centre - it is actually more like 25 minutes and there is no proper pedestrian footpath for the first part of the route. Same for the train station - which is actually a 35 minute walk rather than the 5 minutes stated. Come on CCP - don’t let whoever writes your descriptions tell blatant lies!
Perfect location with 24 pitches. Lovely little town with a nice walk beside the river or canal. Ideally located when travelling from Calais to the Alps or the South. Newly built with excellent facilities, very clean and ideally located within the town with the railway station also close by. Will definitely use this Aire again.
