Camping Car Park are providing reliable and safe motorhome parking across France. Many are old municipal sites which provide normal campsite facilities including hook up, showers and toilets. Our experience so far has been positive. We can all criticise certain aspects of individual sites, however, I am more than happy with the service provided. As long as Camping Car Park keep their pricing structure below normal campsite prices this will be crucial to their continued success.
The Aire at Conde Sur Vire was very clean and tidy, short walk to village shops including grocery store, baker etc.There is also a self cleaning toilet adjacent to it.Some road noise but mainly at peak times.Ideal overnight stop to/from Ferry ports.
This site is very close to town and Lidli supermarket around the corner.The downside to this site is there are bins provided for rubbish etc BUT they are always full and overflowing with rubbish all around the area. We have been here 3 times and always the same..There is a large bin for cardboard and papers BUT also stuffed to bursting. Do local residents use these Bins or are they never empted.?Also noted that locals appear to use the site for Dog walkers coming into the site to let their dogs Shit all over the grass area. I am aware that there is always dog poo around the streets of France, happen it's just a French thing ??
Camping car parks are incredibly convenient but some are cared for more than others. Facilities are fine. Cinq La Pile was a great little spot. Well kept and next to a Lidl for topping up supplies. As a general point for a Camping Car Park facilities, having the fresh water right next to the dump station isn’t without its challenges. People seem to think it’s okay to pour their waste away and not clean up. But there again the dumping process isn’t made easy by the method provided at all Camping Car Parks. Take not whoever designed the facility!!!
Basically a car park with bigger spaces plus electric and water. Not very scenic BUT in the town 200 m from a bar and restaurant and next to the dunes with nice walks, though very fine sand. Beach about 500m and very nice. The town is nice but clearly is a holiday destination as 75% of the houses are shuttered ( end of September and weekday)
Handy little stopover ideal for early shuttle or ferries from Calais only 50 Km awaySite facilities good although the trains are noisy contrary to previous posts the don’t stop at 8 pm and they aren’t quiet electric trainsOverall the site serves as a good stopover the town is full of good eateries and the canal offers a pleasant walk
