Bought a privileges pack in 2023

Bought a privileges pack in 2023. We used it once to stay in Nantes. This year they took 29 euros from our bank account, we emailed for a refund as we had no intention of using camping car parks this year, only to be told we had already booked a reservation in Nantes and used the privileges pack and wouldn't be refunded. I replied to tell them the booking was in 2023 not 2024, again I asked for refund, they acknowledged they had made a mistake but would still not refund stating that an email was sent and we needed to cancel 30 days before. This is required by law, but no email was sent and they have no proof of sending one, so basically they have just stolen money from my account. Now they are ignoring my latest email still requesting a refund. Be warned Camping Carparks are THIEVES with very poor customer service.

Don't trust what the agents tell you on the phone they have no clue!

I booked a night after making sure I could enter the camping around midnight. Then I was told the card wouldn't arrive on time and without the card I wouldn't be able to enter the camping at midnight. I was then promised a full refund. 3 months later and tons of emails later they are telling me they can only refund me 21 euros instead of 50. Absolutely disgraceful, I never heard of a company who cannot refund their customer or even make a commercial gesture!Don't trust what their customer service tells you over the phone they have no clue! Ask for everything in writing!

Unfair treatment. Don't care about customers.

We made the mistake to use the privilege pack to be able to enter an area. The machine wasn't working and we thought we could just reserve and enter. The area was empty and we were in front of the barrier. This was not a reservation but a bypass to be able to enter. We were not aware that privilege reservations are 12 to 12, our mistake. We left before 24h and were charged 5,5 for the "extra" time...except, there was no extra time since this was caused by their faulty machine. Customer service is rude and shows zero empathy, only blaming us for not calling them when we had a problem (we called in the past and they didn't speak english btw), instead of understanding we meant no harm, they choose to teach us a lesson. Very shortsighted if you ask me, I hope they enjoy the 5.5 as that's the last money they see from us. THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!

The penny is starting to drop.

We have used CCP a lot in 2023 with two trips to France. Initially it looked very good and the way forward with Aires in France. The last incident gives us no confidence in them. We spent 3 nights at Seyssel. The last two nights the barrier was open and obviously broken. As the barrier was open we drove out and didn't use our card. We booked Camping de Mon village Auberive. On arrival at 7pm we were unable to get in the barrier wouldn't lift. We phoned CCP but no answer. There was something on our account about Seyssel owing money. Obviously the system thought we were still there and blocked us out of Auberive. I then charged my card so as to pay again for Auberive but still locked out. I also tried to pay for Seyssel(which we didn't owe anything) in the hope it's would clear the system but still no joy. CCP had left us high and dry. It was just luck we had filled up the water before leaving. As there were no other Aires in the area at a reasonable distance we decided to stay on the motorway. They owe us €40 and a hell of a lot of inconvenience. We are going home in 3 days and won't be using them again we will use local Aires. It is obvious CCP buy up old municipals and local Aires. Then chuck in a service point and entry barrier then have no further interest in it. Seyssel a prime example. My advice would be to stay away from these cowboys.UPDATE.My partner managed to get through on the phone this morning. The agent told her the reason she couldn't get through the previous evening was because she has an English phone. So the English phone I am talking to you now was the problem? The agent continued to be beligerant and wouldn't accept any responsibility. When she realised she wasn't getting anywhere with my partner she started the hello, hello tactic pretending to not be able to hear my partner. Must be the English phone again? My partner then terminated the call. When we return to the UK I will send a letter of complaint requesting refund of the charges we don't owe and cancel our membership.UPDATEWe just get emails apologising for their poor customer service after reading our reviews but no explanation of how they are going to approve things if at all. Just seems they couldn't care less.UPDATE.I've had this reply 18 months after the incident and still no detail explaining how you are going to improve things.

Services not available.

I paid for the site at Marigny because of the list of services shown. WiFi did not work but only found out after paying. Customer service said it was the local operators problem and offered no help. Do not trust that the services advertised will be available. Happily there are lots of alternatives so I'll be avoiding this crowd in future. I would not recommend. Finally replied 11th April 2025 to my review of October 2023. 18 months day! Glad I wasn't waiting in France for this. I still would not recommend this crowd. Lots of much better alternatives.

Good but far from great . Listen and improve the network

This network is good but could be great. My experienceCamping Car Park actively respond to reviews however it is generally just a saving face operation to indicate they will follow up. My experience is they don’t.Old municipal sites are poorly maintained with long grass. When I reviewed a lovely old municipal now a disgrace, their response was thanks for letting us know follow up is what we need . Weeks later it was just as bad. I went elsewhereWiFi is varied from good to non existent. Their response when you ring them is to blame the owner of the site. “We cant do anything”. You state it’s available so provide it. The access system is goodThe pre booking system is a minefield. I rang a nice lady who explained how pack du privileges works. Shame it’s not detailed on the app?Generally their new water and waste system is one of the best I’ve seen. Almost idiot proof but some campers are so stupid. So Camping Car Park 6 out of ten. Do not pass go do not collect £200. Really respond to feedback and make this network great. Please no patronizing responses . Just do something!!
