Review Time
We came here last December, and are back again in early March. On both occasions our code did not work at the barrier and we had to telephone the phone number on the barrier to gain access. I saw many motorhomes give up and drive away, because they could not gain access. The site can get very muddy and untidy. It's a good place for exploring Mons. The card had difficulty opening the toilet block. Once all the problems were overcome, we had a good stay.
Brioux sur boutonne - lovey park up - very good rate for the facilities - A couple of things needed fixing though .. 1. One of the shower mixer taps was leaking continuously. It still worked but was a lot of water being wasted 2. The electrics on some of the pitches were open to the elements and could be deemed as dangerous.Would still go back again. It wouldn't take much to address the issues
I've used CCP quite a bit over the past couple of years. Generally a good experience until my last booking. I have the privilege package which allows booking. Having booked a site for two days I arrived to find no water. Quite unsanitary, could not even wash out a toilet cassette. I called CCP and they refused a refund so I could move onto another of their sites. They refused.I left within 29 minutes.. I thought CCP were a reliable option. Sadly not. A measure of a good compa is how they respond when things go wrong. Camping Car Parks failed that test.
We stayed at camping-car Toury for the night.The site was level, quite new really, and peaceful yet only 2 minutes walk to the bakery, church and dolmen. There's a lovely bird lovers park with pond and a fantastic mural dedicated to the French resistance and first flight. Well worth a stop! There was a pizza shop and bar too but we didn't try them. 👍
