I am utterly dismayed by the unethical business practices and lack of integrity displayed by Career.io. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, marred by deceit, misrepresentation, and financial exploitation. My initial interaction with Career.io was to purchase a CV template, a seemingly straightforward transaction. Little did I know, this innocent purchase would ensnare me in a web of deceitful subscription schemes. Imagine my shock when I discovered that I had been involuntarily enrolled in a long-term service without my explicit consent or even a whisper of adequate notification. The sheer audacity of Career.io to manipulate unsuspecting customers into unwittingly signing up for their services is appalling. It reeks of a deliberate attempt to exploit consumers for financial gain. This flagrant disregard for transparency and ethical conduct is not only reprehensible but also illegal. In light of these egregious actions, I demanded an immediate refund for the unauthorised charges levied against me. My patience wears thin as I await the reimbursement that is rightfully mine. Should Career.io continue to ignore my plea for justice, I will not hesitate to explore every legal recourse available to me.Career.io, be forewarned: I am fully prepared to pursue all avenues of legal action, from initiating disputes via PayPal to seeking redress in the small claims court. Your blatant disregard for consumer rights will not go unchallenged, and I will stop at nothing to ensure that justice is served. To prospective customers considering Career.io's services, heed my warning: steer clear of this unscrupulous company. Save yourself the anguish and financial burden of falling victim to their deceptive practices. Trust in Career.io is a folly; the only thing they excel at is duping unsuspecting individuals out of their hard-earned money.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t trust on this website. I did a subscription for a month which was $25 and cancelled the same day. I requested a refund and they said they were still reviewing it. It has been almost 7 days and then for them to say oh ‘it was out of the 7 days and we won’t give you any refund’ stay away from this scam. I will be taking legal actions.UPDATE:This is the right brand, Career.io. Scammers!
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! It's a trap!It will let you write your CV but won't tell you beforehand that you cannot save or download it unless you subscribe for £3.95 on their 7-day trial! Then once you do, it will automatically charge you with a regular subscription! IF you do cancel after 1 day, they won't let you log back in to download your files even though it states that you still have 6 days of free trial to use the site! It's a sticky wicket so avoid avoid avoid!!!
This service is a scamThey don't send any notifications about transactions and yesterday I just found out that I am charged for $25. I tried to communicate with a helpdesk service, but it all seemed as a script, they just ignored what I said. They are acting like I tried a 7-days free premium account and after 7 days I was charged. It just can't be true, because the last time I used this service was more than a month ago! After that I didn't even visit a website. Also there's no way to unlink the card and I am not sure that I have ever saved it there.Avoid resume.io, career.io and other their mirrors.
This is a very good tool and helped me to produce a much better CV, something that I have struggled with for a long time.I had a slight issue with my subscription (I didn't realise my 7-day trial had changed to a monthly subscription), but the team rectified for this and provided me with a one-off refund as a goodwill gesture.
