We have had the privilege of working with Roberta Micarelli for the past 3 years on trips to Italy and France. She takes the time to get to know you personally and each trip from our experience she further customizes the experiences to your individual tastes. Furthermore she is extremely prompt in her responses to emails or phone calls. We would not use anyone else as a travel consultant especially for Italy and Europe.
I booked a large group faith trip to Greece through Central Holidays. I worked with Ray, who was always responsive and very flexible with my very specific requests (including which hotels). The guides and drivers were excellent and worked well our group's pastor to allow for him to teach when and where he wanted. We never had trouble finding our guide and driver and everything was handled professionally. We even requested a last-minute dinner in the Plaka for our whole group on the final night and they came through with a great restaurant for us. Great service.
Just returned from a 16 day trip to Italy. Our travel agent worked with Central Holidays to put together a vacation that included stays in Bari, Lecce, Matera, and Sorrento. We flew in and out of Naples. The trip was perfectly coordinated with private drivers and private tours at each location. The hotels were spectacular, even the "cave" that we stayed in while in Matera. There were absolutely no issues with any part of the trip. Communication was perfect and attentive. Highly recommend my travel agent Mary Ann Packbier and Central Holidays.
My husband and I took our first bus tour trip in Italy last month with Central Holidays. All in all I’d say it was a fantastic trip with amazing tour guides, a new bus, interesting tours etc. Our tour was 8 days beginning in Venice and ending in Rome with the option of continuing to the Almalfi coast. There were, however, some things that could use improvement. Many of us felt the hotel in Florence had drawbacks. The bathroom shower in particular did not seem very safe. And we weren’t crazy about the location of the hotel near the train station. Also and most bothersome was the ambiguity on the itinerary papers concerning certain optional tours. Most of us thought we could book a tour of the Coliseum and Forum when we got there. And we could not. And we wanted to stay longer at St Peter’s Basilica at the end of our tour but we were led out by the guide. So some disappointments. The Trevi Fountain was being cleaned for next year’s jubilee but that was no one’s fault just unfortunate for us. Also we thought we’d see the inside of the Pantheon but that was not included in the walking tour. So I think the itinerary could be more specific. When I asked my travel agent about certain bookings she said we needed to wait until we got there. So I just think the details could be improved upon. My wife and I used Cassie Barbosa, the Senior Destination Specialist with Central Holidays for a 2 weeks, private tour to Italy in Sept 2024 and she did a "FABULOUS JOB." She planned every detail and used reliable and "excellent vendors." The travel agent we used is Abir Gedeon from Adams Travel services in Newton MA and she is on top of her game, you can't go wrong with Cassie and Abir. They take care of every single detail. Central Holidays is one of the best companies I have worked with in planning amazing trips for my clients. They are amazing at coming up with answers to all the difficult questions and always go above and beyond with helping make sure your clients needs are met. Roberta is amazing and her travel expertise has always assisted me in planning trips and making very happy clients (and new referrals) for me. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a highly professional company that never disappoints!!
My family and I are planning a trip to the Olympics in Paris and booked through Central Holidays. Our original request was meant to include flight and hotel. We didn't find out until a month before our trip that the departure flights were never booked and my request for an itemized receipt to see what our money went to was also denied. At this time, I would not recommend Central Holidays for bookings as they are not transparent or forthcoming with information and also miss key elements of booking the trip!
