I first went to sherwood in 1988

I first went to sherwood in 1988. Went several times and introduced other people. At that time we were poor .Now 37 years on...we cannot afford to take our grandchild...very sad rhat there is no value for those of us that came early in their uk life. Can't set dates as it doesn't fit.

Overpriced, tired and not what it used to be

We visited Elveden Forest this weekend for our daughter’s 8th birthday and it was a major disappointment.The lodge was dated and poorly equipped. The oven took around double the recommended cooking time, the shower was awful, the heating controls were unreliable, and overall cleanliness was below standard.The Cyclone ride was closed twice due to staffing issues. Changing room showers were mostly cold and only stayed on briefly, and many lockers were broken – we had to ask staff twice for help to retrieve our belongings.Wi-Fi was intermittent (very frustrating with only basic TV channels), the grounds looked neglected with overflowing bins, and the only supermarket closed at 4pm on Sunday.Main Centre Parcs staff were excellent, but restaurant service was poor. We have visited for years, but this time it felt tired, under-maintained and very poor value. We will not be returning.

Terrible WiFi

WiFi shocking in one of the more expensive lodges, and with a party planned for a birthday, a film night planned, and music needed, we have faulty Internet so no film night and no music in the games room. We chose a games room as we have elderly people with us, and we want to keep the noise away from them when it's late. Reported the issue a day in advance of the party to be told they would only fix it after the party, so no films, and no music available.In an era when everything is streamed, a lack of reliable Internet is ridiculous.Edit. Issue now fixed, though too late for the party. Guest services have given compensation and I believe this issue is down to poor centre parcs third party IT, which ties the hands of guest services.

Poor service since covid

Poor service since covid. They don't care about disabled guests needing reasonable adjustments! You get ignored and passed pilar to post. Head office don't reply. 0 respect for guests since covid. Filling in the disabled form ia pointless because they ignore requests. Last time i will be using this company! They enjoy making things hard instead of helping at the Woburn branch. Last time an assistant cancelled my holiday and said she will refund then i was told 'you had agreed you will not have a refund' no compensation or apology offered and I am sure the person still has their job and maybe got promoted for trying to scam disabled guests. Used to be such a jice resort before covid.

Wow,

Wow, we went to sherwood forest over 20 years ago with our four children. We thought then that it was expensive, they even had furniture that was uncomfortable, making it impossible to relax on, so you would spend more money on site and not staying in the cabin watching tv. I've just checked that it would still cost over £700 for a four day stay for both myself and my wife, I would rather go to Windermere, where it's half that. They're not doing themselves any favours by locking out half the population from the equation

Booking Error and Lack of Confirmation

I am writing to express my frustration regarding a booking I made today. Despite selecting the correct date on your website, the system processed my booking for a different date.To resolve this, I have had to call your customer service team twice:The first call: It took a significant amount of time for the representative to manually change the details.The follow-up: After the first call, I received no confirmation email. I had to call a second time to request it again, and I am still waiting for that email to arrive.Overall, I have spent over an hour of my time trying to fix a system error and secure a simple confirmation. In an era where bookings are handled online, I am disappointed that your manual processes and email systems are taking this long.

Not genuinely dog friendly

Centre parcs is fabulous but gave changed how they do dog bookings in future it's £129 for 1 or 2 dogs.... this makes it extremely expensive on top of basic booking fee especially for 1 dog but even for 2. They gave increased dog charges year over and over without any benefits to dogs and their owners. Sadly after 11 years, we will not be returning

People come to centre parcs for the swimming and outdoor rapids. Without fail every time we come there is an issue with them. Centre parcs don’t compensate to for the impact to your holiday. They’ve carefully covered themselves in their ts and cs
