My experience with chatbot.app has been a complete scam. I mistakenly purchased their annual Premium plan thinking it was ChatGPT. I realized the error immediately and requested a cancellation and full refund the same day, well within the 7-day cancellation period clearly stated in their own policies.Despite meeting all conditions (less than 7 messages sent and within 7 days), they have ignored my requests. They refuse to process my refund and simply stop responding to messages. Their so-called “customer support” is nothing but a useless automated bot that gives generic responses and makes it impossible to reach a human being.This company takes your money, denies you the service, and refuses to return your payment. Their billing practices are deceptive, and their customer service is designed to wear you down until you give up.🚫 I strongly warn everyone: do not trust chatbot.app.They exploit confusion with ChatGPT, lure users into subscribing, and then block all attempts to get refunds or real support.Save your money, avoid the frustration, and look for serious alternatives that actually respect their customers.

Not OpenAI! I was tricked and charged twice.

I was charged by chatbot.app in both March and August 2025, without realizing that it was not the official ChatGPT by OpenAI.The interface and branding are extremely similar to OpenAI, and the use of names like “GPT-5” misled me into thinking this was an official product.In August, I thought my GPT subscription had expired and re-entered my card details to renew it. Only later did I realize I had paid this third-party site again.This caused me to pay twice, unknowingly. I have emailed them for a full refund and will report this if ignored.Please be cautious — this is **not** affiliated with OpenAI, and the experience is very misleading.

WARNING ABOUT CHATBOT.APP - UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES AND REFUSAL TO REFUNDMy experience with chatbot.app has been absolutely terrible. I subscribed to their basic service, but without any notice or consent, they charged me for an additional package that I never requested. When I discovered this extra charge, I tried to contact customer service to cancel only that unwanted additional package.What did they do? Instead of canceling the package I didn't want, they canceled my ENTIRE service, but kept my money. Yes, you read that right: they canceled my service but did NOT refund a single penny.I've been trying to contact them for days. Their customer service bot is absolute garbage - it goes in circles, repeats the same automated responses over and over, and it's impossible to speak to a human. It tells you the payment "was unsuccessful" when you have the charge right there on your credit card statement.It's incredible how shameless they are. They charge you without warning, cancel your service, keep your money, and on top of that, their customer service system is designed to frustrate you until you get tired and give up.I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. Look for serious alternatives that respect their customers.Their billing practices are questionable at best, and their customer service is designed to avoid resolving legitimate complaints. They mislead people

Their website looks almost exact like the one from ChatGPT. I was misled into buying a subscription.When try to click on the support button on their website, nothing happens.Luckily, I requested a refund via Paddle, hopefully I'll get my money back.I hope the scammers get what they deserve.

Terrible AI platform, misleading marketing

Terrible AI platform and the marketing is misleading at best and an outright scam at worst. Customer service has not responded when requesting a refund. Put this head to head with legitimate AI’s and this thing pales in comparison. Do not waste your money.Edit on March 31:The only reason I’m responding is so chatbot.app can’t say that my review was from a fake account. It took over 7 months to respond to this review, and they STILL never replied to my request for a refund. Just additional confirmation of how terrible the overall platform and service is with chatbot.app

Fake AI

Fake AI. This App does not deliver what it promises. I tried running a query on ChatGPT directly and then through Chatbot.App. The latter's response was clearly inferior. So I requested they refund my money, and tech support responded by telling me how to cancel the renewal but was silent on the refund. I wrote back saying that I wanted a refund of the annual subscription fee since they do not deliver what they promised, and they did not respond. I would like my money back!

This app is fraudulent.

This app is fraudulent and is garbage. I purchased it assuming it was something similar to ChatGPT. It is not. It is very bad AI. The responses in their GPT-4o and others or nowhere near as decent as the originals. I requested a refund and their support sent me an AI response back to my email. I assume they use their own crappy LLMs because even the response back is bad info. Will be working with my Credit Card Company to receive this refund. Buyer BEWARE.

I was misled into purchasing a subscription to "Chatbot App", thinking it was the official ChatGPT by OpenAI. The app was not what it claimed, and I never used the service.The payment was processed through Paddle on July 4th, 2025, for ARS 72,347.94. I canceled the subscription immediately and requested a refund through their virtual assistant Kino, who confirmed that the request was forwarded to the provider (XSTUDIOS). To this day, I have not received any response or refund.This company ignores refund requests and misleads users by using similar names to well-known AI tools. This is unethical and unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding this service.
