Review Time
I hired Check My House to inspect a newly remodeled apartment for problems with cracking tile, bathroom glass shower doors, and inadequate heat. His report listed many items he said were covered under the Guaranty of Perfection. After review, I learned my Guaranty of Perfection expired over 2 months before his report - he had copies of my purchase paperwork and could easily have verified this prior to writing his report.
I was not given the last name of the inspector prior to his visit and was not told any of his qualifications. He did not appear to be familiar with high-end finishes, and questioned whether the bathroom fans which were integrated into the light fixtures could possibly work.
The "quote" that was provided for repairs was extremely low and did not include the true cost to replace the heaters (even though this was the one quote I had provided to him). His estimate for tile repairs was less than half of other estimates I had already received.
I prepaid €1299 for a report that was inaccurate and filled with errors. This was very disappointing. I do not recommend this firm.

We used this service to supply a report on an apartment in a 100 year old villa in Antibes/Juan les Pins. The service was excellent. Prompt response to initial query and very competitive price. We received the report in French and English. (There was a charge for translation which is completely understandable). The report was very comprehensive and left us with no queries. We would highly recommend this service
