Choices was professional, responsive, and made the renting process easy. Any issues were handled quickly, and communication was clear throughout. I want to give a special shoutout to Nicola Dunn. She was quick to respond and recently sorted out my garden, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend!
Deceptive & fabricatingi rang to arrange a viewing on a flat i saw advertised on rightmove. The ad stated that it was first uploaded to rightmove June 2024. After I'd clearly stated the address the agent immediately said that is the one which is under offer but yes you can still go to see it. I pointed out that it seemed odd that the flat had been on the market 10months and now is suddenly under offer. He then said he'd made a mistake and was terribly sorry, he'd misheard the address and was referring to another flat. I gave my details and situation and he had a chat with me about my situation.I asked if i could view the flat the next morning, he declined saying his colleague wasn't available/had other viewings elsewhere then so i asked if i could arrange a viewing in a week. He said perhaps.He then started saying once more that the flat was under offer. I pointed out that he had just told me he'd made a mistake and had indicated to me it was another flat but he said this flat was under offer. I commented it seemed odd that the flat had been on the market all that time and was now under offer. He went into a story about how there had been an awkward tenant who had blocked viewings by not being available but now it was empty and an offer had been made. The buyers financial status was currently being checked for authenticity.I feel as if i caught the agent out and he'd been trying to backtrack, he was trying to create a sense of urgency by saying it was under offer. BS if you ask me, he scorned me saying he was trying to help me. How is it helping by pretending a place is under offer, i bet anything this piece of info is dubious, all UK estate agents distort the truth, either by advertising photoshopped pictures or telling you BS about how there has been SO much interest, i'm sure there has!
Worst people I have seen...they don't care ...they just don't care...they leave you in mould and disrepaired house fir a year still they want the visits ...after their regular visits they don't fix the problems...I was living in this mouldy house yet paying correct amount of rent...after 1st year when the idiot landlord tried tent increase, they didn't fight for me...on the contract renewal they did the whole referencing process and told me that we are renewing the agreement...then next morning out of nowhere they called me and said that idiot landlord is not happy to proceed.This is a useless company to work with.
Landlord and tenants beware.I am writing this review from a landlord and tenant perspective.Repairs that should be looked into immediately are ignore which are damaging the property i.e leaks. You have to constantly chase them. I have outstanding repairs going over a year that are still not fixed. From a tenants perspective, they are only concerned about the Landlords wishes. You can be without heating, water and even gas cooker for weeks just because the landlord wants his own contractor to attend to the repair which could leave you without heating, water and gas cooker for weeks and Choices do not care about the impact on you. Anyone that wants proof of all this let me know as it is all on email. Awful service.Property manager once told me to use the oven after being without heating and hot water and no gas cooker for over a week. Absolutely shocking! They need to be investigated.
This agency was a nightmare from start to finish. The workers provided were not only unqualified but also completely unprofessional. Their work was shoddy, and they showed no interest in getting the job done correctly or on time. The lack of attention to detail was staggering, and what was meant to be a straightforward project ended up costing us far more than expected due to the mistakes they made. What’s even worse is the total lack of communication from the agency. We reached out multiple times for support, but they failed to take any responsibility or offer any kind of solution. It felt like they had no concern for the outcome of their work or the impact it had on our project. I regret ever hiring this agency, and I would strongly urge anyone to look elsewhere if they want to avoid unnecessary stress and wasted resources.
