If I could rate this lower, I would... My partner and I attended a show recently and specifically selected VIP front row seats, paying a significant amount for them. Upon arrival, we were informed that our seats were no longer available due to a change in stage layout, which was not our issue. Instead, we were offered seats in the back row. We expressed our dissatisfaction but were directed to the box office, which provided no resolution. After emailing for compensation, the response was dismissive, focusing on their 'legal obligations' rather than customer satisfaction. This lack of empathy and poor service means we will not return for future events. I urge others to consider an alternative where they will truly get what they pay for.
We recently attended a show and were deeply disappointed. Having experienced two previous performances under a big top, we were excited for this one. However, it felt more like a disco-themed show for kids. The venue's limitations meant there were no high-flying acts, and the absence of an emcee, which added so much to past shows, was felt. We recently enjoyed a fantastic evening at Joya near Playa del Carmen with friends. Opting for the VIP Dinner package was an excellent choice. The attention to detail typical of Cirque du Soleil was evident, and the food was quite good. The performances were impressive, with some truly outstanding moments, especially paired with live Cuban music during dinner. For us, this extra detail made the experience special. Highly recommended! Having attended six Cirque shows, I can confidently say that 'O' remains my absolute favorite.
I waited a long time to see a show with this company, and it was disappointing from start to finish. There were no acrobatics, just people walking around in costumes, and the staff seemed inexperienced. The show was a disgrace, a joke, and an insult to those who paid for a ticket.
Having seen performances from various locations, the latest Kurios was far below expectations. It felt like there were lengthy fillers between minimal acrobatics, with extended clown performances that were tedious. They've clearly lost their high-quality acrobatics, and the time-filling nature of this relatively short show was disappointing. The tent was only partially filled, indicating that many are aware it's not worth attending anymore. Such a shame!
Cirque du Soleil shows are consistently spectacular. However, at the venue, the dim lighting at the top of the stairs made it difficult to navigate, requiring us to use our mobile phones for light. This poor lighting made it hard to see row indicators. Even with perfect vision, the low light was excessive and posed a safety concern.
The staff were very unfriendly. Taking pictures or videos during the show is strictly prohibited, and I experienced this firsthand when staff abruptly stopped me without any explanation. I have no intention of returning and cannot recommend this experience.
