The content is challenging and stretches the children. The website has improved massively and I am finding it much easier to find work. It does make life easier for a teacher especially a supply teacher. I have used this site for both permanent and temporary roles and found it incredibly useful. The work is an excellent standard,
An ever improving website with easy to use, professional and reliable resources. Membership is easy to understand and maintain with a variety of elements which can be applied easily for the expectations of the school and needs of the children I work with.
I love how I can easily find differentiated activities for extension tasks or scaffolding support which link seamlessly to WRM. The choice of activity is such that there are plenty of options for same day keep up and homework. I also use the GPS activities to support my teaching and to allow the children to re-enforce their understanding. Definitely worth the subscription fee!
As a full-time teacher, I was a subscriber to Classroom Secrets from approximately 2021-2024. I used it mainly for maths, as the differentiated CS lesson-by-lesson maths resources are some of the best out there, although the Classroom Secrets' resources for other subjects are decent too. However, at some point during my subscription, Classroom Secrets had a change of policy: previously, a subscriber could download as many resources as they wished in one go (and although this might seem overly generous, equally it would have taken one subscriber a HUGE amount of time - many hours if not days or weeks - to visit different CS webpages and press download / save each time in order to obtain resources for just one subject let alone EVERYTHING from CS. Therefore, the likelihood of subscribers doing this and 'gaming the system' would be very low indeed). But then Classroom Secrets changed their download policy, and instead they now limit subscribers to 100 downloads per month.Just as a different former subscriber wrote here on Trustpilot a couple of years ago (and I note that nobody from Classroom Secrets has replied to that comment, unlike how they have replied to most other comments here recently), it is highly impractical trying to be a full-time teacher and seeking to use Classroom Secrets website every day / every week to download resources ready for a short sequence of maths lessons, let alone any other subjects which you might wish to also use Classroom Secrets for.Just prior to me cancelling my full-member subscription at the end of last year (for this very reason of the impractical download limits), I emailed Classroom Secrets to ask them about the change of their download policy. But they never replied to my email despite me having paid for a full membership subscription every month for about 3 years. So I cancelled my subscription a few days later. In terms of downloads, it is true that Classroom Secrets offers a small random smattering of free resources, which may or may not be of use to teachers (although depending on your year group as a teacher, I would argue that you'll probably only find about 15% of these free resources useful at maximum because they are so randomly spread through Foundation to Year 6 subjects). But in terms of the impracticalities of the paid-for full membership subscription limit of 100 downloads per month, as an example for just one lesson (eg, 'teaching Year 5 about prime numbers tomorrow'), you would definitely want to download maths 'varied fluency' questions from one CS webpage and the maths 'reasoning / problem-solving' questions from another CS webpage, whilst the 'classroom discussion' example from its own webpage would serve as an excellent warm-up or extension. That is already 3 of your 100 downloads for the month. For that same one maths lesson, you might also want to download the relevant Powerpoint slides (which can at least just be shown on an IWB without the need to download these PPT slides), and at a push maybe a supporting activity from its own webpage to help lower-ability learners and a homework extension from its own webpage. So it is at least 3 downloads per maths lesson, and maybe as many as 5-6 downloads, EVERY DAY just for one Maths lesson.(And you HAVE to click the 'download' button on the maths main topic's webpage, eg about a topic about prime numbers, as you are not allowed otherwise to even view an individual lesson 'varied fluency webpage' for one single lesson).Per day, that is at least 3 downloads for one maths lesson.Extrapolated to one month, that is at least 60-66 downloads every (20-22 working days) month just for maths lessons, even if you don't download accompanying lesson slides, supporting activities or homework extension activities.Which only leaves full-time classroom teachers with about 30-35 more downloads from the Classroom Secrets website for ALL other subjects that they need to teach that month.Every month. As a final note, if you want to use the Classroom Secrets website for just half of its available Maths resources (or alternatively Classroom Secrets' resources for just one or two other subjects) then it might seem a fair chance for what you pay. You'll only be able to download the equivalent of 3-4 worksheets / Powerpoint lesson slides / topic activities / SPAG resources etc every day.But should you require more than 3-4 worksheets every day, then you will need to supplement your Classroom Secrets full-membership subscription with a subscription to a different teaching resources website as well.As per my email to Classroom Secrets (which never received a reply despite me being a long-standing, full-member subscriber), I would recommend that they increase their limit to at least 200 downloads per month instead.Cheers.
Sadly, is impossible to cancel- very concerning. The materials are good but their contract states "Classroom Secrets deem that no user would reasonably need to more than 75 resources every 30 days and therefore downloads are limited".And then they make every single worksheet and PowerPoint a separate download! They also do not offer a proper preview of the sheet so you can see if you even want to use it. I teach 40 lessons a week on a different step usually, and could easily use 300 downloads with this system just for maths and English, never mind other subjects. Twinkl and a lot of other sites, far surpass them.
Signed up for a 1 year subscription only. Discovered last week they had done an auto renew & taken £59.99 from my account without my authorisation or knowledge. Phone lines constantly saying they are closed at the moment (even when they should be open). Have emailed but received an automated response saying they are busy & will respond at some point. Terrible company & behaviour!! I am currently not working at the moment due to my husband needing 24/7 care after a major operation. I want my money back! 😡
