Review Time
The work carried out was first class. The mechanic picked up my car on time, communicated well with me throughout the process completed the work on time and identified another potential issue with no pressure on me to get the additional work done. I did accept his recommendation and the extra work was completed as agreed.
He also went out of his way to get the car back to me on the agreed date and worked late to deliver it to me.
All in all this was a great experience from a friendly and professional mechanic and I really appreciate the service I received.
I needed help urgently and my booking was confirmed very quickly.
My mechanic arrived within the allocated time slot and was very helpful and friendly.
He explained everything to me throughout and resolved my issue.
I recently used ClickMechanic to arrange a fairly large amount of work on my car and overall had a very positive experience. The pricing was clear from the start, very reasonable, and better than the larger chain garages I looked at. The website was easy to use and I liked knowing the full cost upfront before committing. The booking process felt simple and transparent.
The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that after my initial booking, I submitted a second request for a 4 wheel alignment and they were unable to locate a mechanic to carry this out. It would also help if order changes could be handled through proper on-site forms rather than messages, and if the system confirmed upfront that the assigned mechanic can complete all requested work based on their capabilities. There’s also no telephone support, which may put off less tech-confident customers.
That said, I would still recommend ClickMechanic for the clear pricing, value for money and overall convenience.
I would have not given a star, I booked for a mechanic to sort out leakage due to gasket replacement, I bought parts and gave mechanic to fix car but he still did not deduct the parts from the bill i had to mention that to click mechanic. Mechanic took car around 9am and said work will be done and car will be returned before 4pm. I called mechanic around 3pm and he mentioned due to the nature of the work car needs to be kept 24hours i took a day off work as he mentioned car will be ready next day at 11am i called mechanic around 10am and he didn't answer i went to the address mechanic had on click mechanic and was told there was no garage there, Mechanic called back and said car will be dropped off soon. For the fact the address on click mechanic was not real i sensed dodginess. Finally car was dropped oof next day i still saw leakage coming from the same spot i wanted fixed and told mechanic and he said they will come check it out next day. Mechanic came next day saw the leakage from the same areas and said leakage was coming from the rear area but he saw the leakage was coming from the front and said it was the coolant. To be honest avoid using click mechanic as they themselves know anything about cars but just a platform.
Overall a good garage. Got the work done on my car that was needed. Could be more careful with the cleanliness part as my car came back with dift and shoe marks in the inside of the car, hence the 4 star. Otherwise, great garage with great communication.
I am always wary of these online services, having had a bad experience a few years back, so I read the reviews before booking. The communication from both CLick Mechanic and the people that did the work, was excellent. Arrived just after ten and was back in 2 hours. I will definitely use again. Thank you so much.
Was skeptical at first as I struggle to trust online sites, so I looked at their Trust Pilot reviews and bit the bullet and booked a repair on this website.
My car was matched with a garage and repaired within 24 hours of finding ClickMechanic's website.
I've already been recommending it to my friends and family. I'm chuffed to bits!
Used a bloke called Brandon from Chelmsford to check over a 2002 Toyota Hilux. I doubt the guy had even heard of a Hilux. He certainly wasn’t born when the thing was made. Wiper blade needed replacing. No display on dash to tell me if I’m 4WD/2WD. Handbrake dodgy and v stiff. Water leaking into driver footwell. Bonnet twisted. He basically was clueless and doubtless gave it a quick eyeball, nothing more. It was delivered to me 2 hours away so I had to trust a mechanic. Human beings never fail to disappoint. Won’t be using again and won’t be buying from the fraudster I bought it from in the first place.
Had my Front and Rear brakes and Discs changed with an oil and filter change, very good customer service they pick the car up and drop it off which makes everything much easier, everything good so far.
I had the battery replaced in my car using a mechanic booked through ClickMechanic. After a few months the battery failed, which does happen. Of course the battery would still be under warranty, so it should be OK.But the mechanic is no longer registered with ClickMechanic, and won't respond. ClickMechanic themselves could not be less interested; they say "talk to the mechanic or your cerdit card company because it's no our problem". Lesson learned - pay the extra and use a proper reliable local mechanic that will still be there and you can take it back to if something goes wrong. Keep away from online introducers because they are useless and add very little value.
