It took about 30 minutes to take the required photos and prepare the paperwork but after that, everything was quick and easy. The dealer was quick to contact me and to arrange collection. Can't fault the process.

Loading my vehicle details and photos through App didn't work so I had to send by multiple e mails for motorway team to load. I wanted to add description detail but wasn't able to, limited to answering the prescribed questions.
I had the impression from advertising that the process was quick. First part was good, into first daily auction and sold. But then the buyer couldn't get to me for a week. Then, what I thought was a pick up was only a mechanic to check my vehicle. He found a few minor faults on the ECU output and the offer dropped by more than £1,000 (25%), probably a strategy to 'kick the tyres' and buy cars cheaper? So Id wasted more than a week.
Then I couldn't relist quickly as the non-buyer had to submit a report first. And Motorway then wanted me to have a garage investigate the minor ECU fault readings and confirm on an invoice that the vehicle was OK.
Its in line with the Motorway small print but I'm disappointed that my experience wasn't in line with what the hype had led me to expect.

Great service today from Jay Uddin at Motorway customer services, We had a good offer that exceeded other sites, but we felt the car was in better condition than the Grade 3 which they assigned. After a discussion with the buying dealer we agreed a price. Brilliant service and did what I asked. Well done Jay 👏

Firstly they offered me price of £5,700 during valuation later it reduced to £5,200 after uploading pictures and documents, that is also acceptable. Later it reduced to £4,780 and somehow i said yes but dealer came home after a week and he offered me price just £4,200 for nothing , this is just insulting price after wasting a lot time

Easy to deal with. Got the price they said. However i feel that all the dealers knowing the reserve price could limit the end price. But motorway did everything they said so can't ask any more

Everything went smoothly. Using the app was simple. I got a great price and this was offered within 24 hours of going live. Clear info was provided at every stage of the selling process. The car was collected within 48 hours. The assessment took 60 minutes and the money was transferred to my account within 2 minutes.

I sold my car on auction which ended on the 14th February. They received all the requested documents shortly after that and the buyer arranged AA to inspect the car on the 17th Feb, after which we agreed on the price. Since then the communication with Motorway and they transport contractor was appalling.

First the contractor (wedelivercars.co.uk) said on the 18th Feb that the collection address is in a remote location and they are struggling to find a driver, because they travel by public transport to collection points. I found this hard to believe, because it is inside Edinburgh with great bus service, but I offered that I can pick up the driver from a train station or airport if that's the only problem. On the phone they said that someone will get in touch with me the next day, which they never did.

Then Friday came, 19th Feb, which was my preferred collection date and no one turned up for collection.

I phoned the collection company again on the same day just to be told that they don't have a driver in the area, but they are working on it.

Then I called Motorway in Saturday, 21st Feb when one of the Seller Support Specialists said that he will escalate it with their Logistics team.

Because I never heard any more from them by Monday noon, 23rd Feb, I messaged them again via their in-app chat, just to get the same message, that my problem "will get escalated to the Logistics team". Apparently this didn't happen on Saturday.

It was the first, but certainly the last time I ever used this website, despite getting positive feedback prior to this from others.

So 10 days after the sale, I've still got the car and no sign of the money.

My only feedback to everyone - STAY AWAY and go to others, who respect their customers.

Accepted the offer from dealer ..
Took them 3 days to say photos of v5 weren't good enough so had to do them again ..
Then waited another 2 days to confirm that they are ok now ..
Waited 3 days to be told that I have to send for new v5 becouse I was initially going to keep my private regie..
Called motorway on Monday and said ill just sell it with private reggie so that we can speed up what was slow experience ..
Thursday person from motorway calls me asking if I've sent my v5 away to remove my private plate ..
I said to the person on the phone that on monday I alredy told them that I wont keep my reggie and that I want a call from dealer confirming if they actually want my car or no ..
Weekend come and goes and folowing week on Tuesday person from motorway calls to ask the same thing if ive sent for new V5 ..
😀😀
At this point I've had enough and told them I wont sell car through motorway due to them not communicating betwen them self and taking so much time to communicate with a dealership..
Couple of days latter i recieved email asking if ive sent for V5 becouse dealership that was going to purchase my car was asking ..
Seriously wouldn't use motorway again ..or recommend it to anyone..

Don’t waste your time!
The dealers bidding for the car have no intention of buying your car, they bid a high amount to be able to come and see it and knock you down thousands!

Have you had the sunroof serviced was one question - you can gu as the answer and that went against the new low price of the car!

Can’t belie such con artists are allowed to operate! I will never use this company again nor will I recommend!
