Hopeless installation that took four installation bookings to eventually get the charger satisfactorily installed. From missing screws in the box to slow service from Cord to resolve and send additional screws the whole process was a nightmare.
After installation the charger has to be unplugged and plugged in again to continue a scheduled charge on day 2 if the battery didn’t reach 100% on the previous days schedule. This is very annoying. The Cord Zero is also a very big box on the wall when fitted so I would consider that if you have to walk past it regularly or if space is an issue. I bought it mainly for the longer guarantee so let’s hope they still exist as a business when I might need it.
I was having trouble logging in to charge my vehicle on our shared account. I sent a message on the chat service and their help team replied by the following evening with a way forward which worked.
Cord offer a competitive solution to EV charging. Ordering a charger was very simple, it was delivered very quickly and pricing was transparent. the lost star is for the installation phase.I waited to be contacted by an installer but ended up having to chase Cord to chase an installer for me. I was then sent an authority to act form with no information on what it was or what to fill in on the form. again I contacted Cord who were helpful and provided this information. I then waited again to be contacted by the installers, I received a single phone call at 16:33 which I missed as I was leaving work. When I called back 1 minute later and the phone rang through to voicemail. 10 days later and many attempts to contact the installer, I have still not managed to speak to anyone from the installation company, I contacted Cord who kindly said they would try and even Cord have said they are having issues speaking to anyone. I am now on day 10 since the initial missed call from the installer with no confirmation of any dates for installation and still no contact with anyone who can install for me. I must assume that once contact is made, I will still be waiting weeks for an install date.While Cord appears great, I am starting to wish I purchased elsewhere, and even considering returning the charger if possible for a refund so I can go somewhere else.‐-----Update after the reply from cord:Yes, i had an email from the installer offering a provisional date of the 16th on the basis that i confirm this date by the end of the day. The email was sent to me at 16:09 on the 4th. I responded by email and tried to contact by phone them but was unsuccessful at speaking to anyone, nor did i have any confirmation that the provisional slot was held or confirmed. Here is that email:Good afternoon Kristian,I’m getting in touch from Aero EV regarding your Cord EV charger installation.I’ve tried to give you a call to confirm a few details and to book in your installation. I’ve provisionally reserved Monday 16th for you — please let me know if this date works.I’ll hold this slot until close of play today.-----Since it appears nobody at Aero EV answers a phone or responds to any emails, i have to assume that slot was not held for me despite trying multiple times to contact them.Of course, i will contact Cord to talk to them as per their reply, and once again.. Cord have been really good.
