I have had back issues for years and sadly, a back surgery at age 45 on my L5/S1. I’ve done years of therapy and various treatments including acupuncture and PT and pain meds and everything under the sun. My surgery went well but then I reinjured myself at the gym and was devastated to learn I wasn’t a candidate for the same surgery but instead, would need a double fusion surgery. I was heartbroken especially being so young, and determined to find alternative treatment.I found Dr Ryan and began his course. At first it seemed so basic and I could do so many more advanced moves. I already worked out at the gym and with a personal trainer. But this was different. His course had me start over to literally lay on my back and do nothing more than anchor myself to the ground and breathe. Within 15 minutes I realized what a game changer this was and why I was not improving. I continued for weeks and months and stayed true to the coursework. I could not sing Dr Ryan’s praises enough. People at my gym and work begged me to shut up bc of how much it was a gamechanger. The nerve pain that used to shoot down my left leg for years has now finally subsided. I firmly believe Dr Ryan’s coursework prevented me from a double fusion and the best part … it truly is now part of how I live and function daily. I am intentional in my life activities outside of the gym and know how to keep my core engaged. Slow and steady wins the race and this is well worth it!
At first, I was a little leery to sign up for something on Facebook, but after listening to Dr Peebles describe his program, I felt like he was genuine. Everything he said, made sense and resonated with me so I decided to try the seven day trial and was convinced on day one that this program was everything I needed and had been hoping for. As a program, I think he and his staff give more, offer more in the way of Support… Videos, responses to questions, live zoom with Q and a, and a genuine concern and care. I have never been in a situation where they gave so much for such a small fee.
I have been struggling for the past 6 years. This program has given me so much relief. I am on week two. Still reminding myself that I have a ways to go. Consistency is the key to my pain relief. I do the exercises every day. Looking forward to learning more.
What made my experience with Core Balance Training great? It works. I have all the awful "s"s--spinal stenosis, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis. This program taught me body awareness and gave me guidelines to make me forget those "s"s 90% of the time. I'm back to exercise and running.
I have severe arthritis in both hips and lumbar spine (multiple back surgeries for discs and stenosis). I stay active and do exercise daily, as I have for my entire life and still do at the age of 66. Despite my fitness and activity level, my back and hip pain was intrusive and limiting my mobility. CBT made an amazing difference! I completed the program and continued for a few months as an alum. I continue to do the daily mobility exercises and I am active and relatively pain free. I hope to return as an alum when finances allow. I highly recommend CBT and Ryan to anyone especially anyone with spine and/or hip issues.
The program was self paced but perfectly set up for gradual progression. I loved how gentle Dr Ryan was. When you're in a ton of pain and desperate for help the reassurance of a soft, kind and helpful voice is unmatched.
