I am extremely disappointed with my experience ordering directly from Oral-B, a division of Procter & Gamble.

I originally placed an online order during the Cyber Monday promotion for the iO Series 10 at the advertised price of $269.00. I provided all required information, including valid credit card details, and the charge was approved by my credit card company. Despite this, Oral-B cancelled the order overnight with no explanation.

I called customer service and spoke with Kaylee, who could not determine why the order was cancelled. She advised me to place the order again and assured me Oral-B would honor the Cyber Monday price. I did so, and once again, Oral-B cancelled the order.

On Wednesday, I called again and spoke with Jake, who told me to reorder and confirmed the Cyber Monday deal would be honored. That order was also cancelled.

On Thursday, I spoke with Jason, who provided case number 284246642. He instructed me to place the order again at the full price of $369.00 and assured me that Oral-B would reimburse my credit card to reflect the $269.00 Cyber Monday price. Even after following these instructions exactly, the order was cancelled yet again — this time at 5:30 PM on the fourth day — once again with no explanation.

I called back on Friday and spoke with Jake again, who transferred me to a supervisor named Austin. Nothing was resolved. No one could explain why the system continued to cancel my orders, and no solution was offered.

I have been using Oral-B toothbrushes since I was 10 years old, and I am now 71. I have been a loyal Oral-B customer since I left home at age 18. This is no way to treat a long-standing customer who has purchased your products for decades.

At this point, unless Oral-B can resolve this ongoing issue and honor what was repeatedly promised, I will be looking elsewhere. This experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and deeply disappointing.

I purchased a premium travel toothbrush in Italy in 2025, which includes a travel case, indicating it's designed for travelers. However, the charging base only supports 220–240V, making it ineffective in areas with 110–120V. This isn’t a defect, but rather a design oversight. After reaching out to the support team, the only solution provided was to purchase a separate charger. There was no option for an exchange or any goodwill assistance, making the purchase frustrating.

Oral-B's delivery service is frustratingly ineffective

The company has failed to deliver a toothbrush I ordered five weeks ago from their website. Despite claiming to have sent three toothbrushes, none have arrived. They haven’t explained the reason, and after several attempts, they offered a refund, admitting their inability to fulfill a basic order. I just want a new toothbrush. I urge the team to address this issue.

This toothbrush presents a significant design failure that becomes a hygiene issue. Despite its premium price, the connection point between the brush head and handle has gaps that trap moisture and residue. This creates an environment for black mold and grime, making cleaning nearly impossible. A product meant for oral hygiene shouldn’t require constant deep cleaning to avoid contamination. Overall, do not waste your money on this model.

The iO8 toothbrush battery lasts less than a year before it starts dying at 40% charge. This feels like a waste of money.

Subpar quality of electric toothbrushes

I purchased two electric toothbrushes since September 2024, and both stopped working within a year. The latest one ceased functioning after just three months. I hope to get a refund since it's still under warranty. I had one that lasted years, but the quality has evidently declined. Very disappointing.
