Account doesn’t work

Twice now I’ve reported a situation and opted for the keep in contact option where they give you a username. Both times I was unable to log in with this username and my password just a couple of days later to check if there were any questions or updates.

Rude and not concerned

I called today regarding my reward code and the guy started explaining me what the reward code is. I interrupted him twice and explained him that I wanted to know about the reward code given to me 4 months ago. He checked and said- sorry No reward. I explained him that I had given a correct information and not only that I had directly contacted cops and provided them the images of the same incident. His reply was that police decision is final and we can't do anything. We are a very busy charity. I am feeling very disappointed by the way he was in hurry to put down the phone and all the information I had given was of no use. I don't think I will be bothered to contact them again. The way he said "we are a very busy charity" I want to ask him if he thinks people who call have so much free time to hold for 50 minutes and report a crime? I think it's time we should stop calling them to help them. It's not worth it. In place of a Thanks if we are shown arrogance and rude behaviour then what's the point?

What an AWFUL woman with a London…

What an AWFUL woman with a London accent on the phone after queuing for 1/2 hour. I described my situation and she had no sympathy or empathy for what we're going through and was completely disinterested, she talked over me!! questioned how this was affecting my health telling me it couldn't possibly be!! and if so, how could it be?!! (knowing NOTHING about me other than what I'd told her - but even then there was STILL no empathy), she told me there's nothing anyone could do over and over. So negative, telling me there's no point in writing to your MP he won't be able to do anything, even though I had told her he said he would, what a horrible person, what a wonder it is that she is working for somewhere like this!. We will complain officially and I will NEVER use them again. I wish I had read these terrible reviews before calling them! Absolutely useless as an organisation, we have contacted them before via the web and they were awful then, but as that was only one experience so I let it 'slide' - but today... good God, it could not have been any more terrible. It was like a standard operating procedure for delivering the WORST possible customer service one possible could and how to be the worst form of unempathetic, unsympathetic and nasty person as possible! she was truly awful. I said thank you for your help and she 'right' and hung up on me!

Complete waste of time

Complete waste of time. I reported a genuine situation to the Crimestoppers which was happening every Thursday evening and involved a child. I opted to use the anonymous login option but within 12 hours was being told my login was unsuccessful. Strikes me that either they are blocking my IP address which they claim they don't have access to or they are unwilling to challenge the person at this address and have therefore dismissed my genuine concerns outright. DON'T BOTHER WITH CRIMESTOPPERS.

Crimestoppers? Jobsworths. Don't bother.

I echo what many reviews have said here. The call operator said NOTHING apart from hello crimestoppers, and as I proceeded to report an incident, a racist verbal assault in Blackpool as I walked passed a pub, the call operater hung up on me. What????? This is BEYOND unprofessionalism, it's actually criminal. Unfit for purpose, embarrassing non-existent service, non transparent, untrustworthy and unregulated. Seriously de-fund this despicable fraudulent charity, it's run by dangerous Charletons, a bunch of criminals, needs shutting down NOW. I want to see channel 4 Dispatches investigate these criminals. If you scroll down the page you'll see a the FAKE 5 star review on here, clearly authored by one of it's staff workers. Defending the useless organization based on a weak argument he claims "crime needs evidence." Actually, the 5 star review is Incorrect. Otherwise why would police officers physically attend incidents which reported verbal insults of s sexual or racial or religious / cultural nature, or where a disabled person felt threatened from things that someone said to them, and why would the police investigate or attend a situation where a member of public felt alarmed and distressed by an innocent person filming / taking videos and recording in public spaces in a harmless non-insidious manner. If the public happen to be in the background of the camera shots, it's legal and permitted. We have 24 hour recordings directed at us ALL on CCTV by public authorities and on public transport, so there's no difference. But all of a sudden we see police presence when a person rings 101 because a camera is viewed like a weapon. Therefore, DO NOT tell me that all crimes need evidence. In every case, there is a moral issue, and a legal issue. Stop invalidating people's experiences. Victim Bias Complex, at its finest.

I mimic what others are saying about…

I mimic what others are saying about this organisation! I have some information about someone, that might help to piece together a timeline of events. This is someone already known to the police, of which they are appealing for further information, where they have given, as well as the non-emergency police line, the crime stoppers contact, in order to report this information. So I say and did this last night on the crime stoppers page and set up an anonymous log in. I tried to log in several times to check that it was all working ok, which it was, then I tried this morning, and I can’t log in at all, and it’s saying my log in attempt has failed! No questions, no reasoning, no thank you for your information it will be passed on accordingly, nothing! Now I’m left wondering if this information will be passed on or not. Probably not. As I’ve now noticed that it stipulates several incidences where this is not the channel of which to report it. Such as: Report an emergency,You are a victim of crime,Benefit fraud,Scam emails or phone calls,Untaxed vehicles,Minor driving offences,Dumped vehicles,Noise complaints,Fly-tipping,Missing people. What can you report then??Ridiculous!
