Dont bother with the website!

Reported two separate incident and absolutely nothing has happened either time, an absolute waste of time and I wont be using it again. Crime pays apparently

Put on hold and then cut off

Tried to ring Crime Stoppers for a second time. Spoke to a gentleman who asked me to hold and then cut me off. Sadly, it seems to me, they are really not very interested in getting information to help in stopping crime. I will not bother to ring them again.

Absolutely appalling. Shockingly bad and rude.

Absolutely appalling! Shocking in fact. The woman who answered the phone was abrupt and rude. She had zero interest in what I was telling her from the first moment, basically telling me that they did not deal with certain issues even though there are many signs that advertise their number. Honestly, do not even bother to consider them. It made me feel bad. This extremely rude and useless woman just hung up on me basically. It was as stark a contrast as possible from the lady at VOICE Victim Support that I spoke with yesterday, who was so pleasing to talk with and very helpful indeed with top notch telephone manner. If I could give Crimestoppers zero stars I would. Waste of time. Some "charity" - it should be de-listed.

I am honestly hurt and shaken up how I…

I am honestly hurt and shaken up how I was treated by a call respondent.I felt uncomfortable and worried to say my issue as I feel I was a stupid victim and it was my fault I got scammed. I spoke to the respondent and with a demanding tone she said “what’s your crime?” And I said “scammed” and she said again in a more aggressive tone “why did you do it and what was it for” which I felt completely embarrassed to say, as I felt I was being treated like a clown more then I felt. I am also very young but was not asked. When I told her why I sent it, she proceeded to say “okay we’ll call 111 bye.” And ended the call . I was completely shaken up. I understand they may deal with completely other cases but it is a help line for all. For me to feel my issue was pointless to discuss was out of bound. My mental state has deteriorated and calling this line did not make any things better.

Contacted the Metropolitan Police Anti-corruption Unit

Contacted the Metropolitan Police anti-corruption unit twice regarding a family of criminals that have too much influence over the police in Wandsworth. There was no response, the said family have been able to pervert the course of justice for eight years - Wandsworth police cover for them. What is the difference between the MPS and the Mafia?

Reported a daily drink driver twice

Reported a daily drink driver twice. No change so assume no action. If Crimestoppers reported him to the police I have to assume they haven't responded. This doesn't surprise me as we are paying more and more for an ineffective police service.

-The Anti-Corruption line for the Met is a Con dont bother using it

-The Anti-Corruption line for the Met police is a con. They take the bare minimum details and then say someone will contact you in 6 days. They never do. Mainly because the phone back group is run by the Met so 1. They lie that this service is independent and 2. They arent interested in investigating corruption in the Met

Just for your information.

Contacted these people in relation to a sexual offence. First woman I spoke with frustrated the hell out of me by asking for info I had already given, to the extent I told her that I was starting to regret making the call. Her response was "to feel free to contact the police on 101" defeating the point of these people even existing. I asked to speak with a manager who, although the info was on the screen in front of her, automatically jumped to the conclusion the offender was Asian. Even to me as a white man something that felt very racist. It became obvious that the first woman was being trained on the job after her manager told me she was sitting by her during the call. Surely due to the serious nature of the some calls they'll receive, they should be fully trained before taking any calls at all. Please don't let this post put you off reporting a crime, that's not my intention. This is here to make you aware that you might speak to someone untrained & come up against unsavoury behavior, even from a manager who should know better. Hopefully someone from the organisation reads this & resolves the issues internally. There are clear issues that need to addressed.

Absolutely crap

Absolutely crap. No help at all. I spoke to A guy from the charity who was pretty much laughing down the phone. I have some suspicion of sex trafficking they said that I need more information e.g. like the persons name and address. How would I know the persons name and address when they’re using a fake name and website. If you need to report a crime do not approach the charity it’s a waste of time, report it straight to the police. Stay safe.
