Currys: A Refund Process That Is Utterly Broken and Shameful

My recent experience trying to return an iron purchased online with a 3-year replacement cover was an absolute bureaucratic nightmare and a complete waste of my time. Currys’ customer service and refund process is so fundamentally flawed it is genuinely embarrassing for a company of this size.I returned the iron to the nearest store, which correctly processed the iron's refund but then punted me to Customer Service for the replacement cover refund. This is where the descent into madness began.It took 30 minutes just to reach a human agent, only to be immediately transferred to a second agent whose system then FROZE. In total, I wasted over 50 precious minutes of my life just to secure a paltry £10 refund—a cost I incurred for a product fault that was not my own. This is not customer service; it is a customer obstacle course designed purely for frustration.Worse yet, I still have not received the refund for the replacement cover, meaning I now face the prospect of spending another hour battling their abysmal phone system.Currys, you need to urgently overhaul this broken, fragmented refund system. It is unacceptable to force customers through this agonizing, time-consuming loop just to get their money back. The entire process is truly shameful. I will actively advise others to purchase elsewhere to avoid this level of incompetence.
