Review Time
I have had very kind friends send me gifts from this company 3 times now over the past couple of years, and each time the products are inedibly poor. They don't taste of anything, are overly sweet, the texture is awful... A huge case of style over substance - absolutely do not recommend and writing this in the hopes others save their pennies because everybody deserves actually decent cake.
I have shopped with Cutter & Squidge for a while, and the gift recipients are always thrilled with what they get. Today I was using a gift card for the first time and found it very frustrating trying to work out how to use it! I almost gave up ordering entirely multiple times, which would have been a shame. It would be helpful if information on how to use gift cards is clearer - not just in the email confirmation but also on the website itself.
The price is not justified for what you receive, and the delivery experience was lacking. The package was left next to the door even though someone was home. There was no knock or phone call, and I had to reach out for someone to retrieve it, which was disappointing as I intended it to be a surprise gift. Additionally, I'm frustrated that the website doesn't permit honest reviews below 4 stars.
This is not a company that values retaining customers. I missed the deadline for a voucher by just three days and lost £50. While I acknowledge my oversight, losing that amount due to a minor delay means I won't be making any future purchases.

After a missed delivery date, I received the cake post-birthday and was relieved it wasn't on time. The cake was overpriced and dry, resembling something from a supermarket. The delivery was rescheduled for the birthday itself, which posed a risk of missing the occasion entirely. Customer service was apologetic but unhelpful. I had to buy another cake, leading to unnecessary stress and costs. They did refund the delivery fee, but it hardly compensates for the hassle. Be cautious if you have a special event, as reliability is an issue.
I have previously ordered from this service, and the cakes consistently arrive fresh and in good condition. The ordering process is user-friendly, and they maintain communication throughout until delivery. I would definitely recommend them.
I ordered a cake, but it was delivered to the incorrect address. The company took full responsibility, refunded a missing item, and even offered a gesture of goodwill, which I appreciated. This is a commendable example of accountability and making things right.
I would strongly recommend this company for their cakes. I reached out based on a friend's suggestion, and the Tiramisu cake for my son’s 30th birthday was beautifully packaged and delicious. I’m thrilled to have discovered this service and will certainly order again.
