They're the worst dental insurance I've had in my lifetime. All they know how to do is deny claims; they paid zero on my claim. Somebody should put a stop to these practices. My son is in pain for crying out loud we can’t control how our teeth come in my son wisdom tooth is scrapping his check causing abscess where he can hardly open his mouth nor eat show us you care for crying out loud uncontrollable things should be pad for by you guy’s especially if it’s causing the patient pain .
Absolutely horrible dental insurance company. Had a crown put in in 2022. The crown fell out in January 2026. My dentist submitted a claim that was denied, so I appealed. They turned down the appeal, saying that a crown is only authorized every 5 years. So for the next year and a half I have a gap in my teeth and the jagged remains of the part of the tooth that could be saved when the original crown was put in. Would highly recommend finding other dental insurance.

Got two separate letters in the mail from them claiming the exact opposite decisions about a dental procedure that is already scheduled. Both dated the exact same day, one claiming I'm covered entirely though 6/13/26 for everything I have scheduled Is approved, and one saying I'm denied for all of the same procedures. With no explanation besides two conflicting pieces of mail received during the holidays and no way to contact them until the weekdays start. Not a great look for a third party insurance company that isn't even in my state and has not responded at all to my inquisition. Would love a resolution but it remains to be seen. DO NOT GO THROUGH DENTAQUEST
Ever since my Insurance plan switched to DentaQuest for dental, I have had nothing but problems. I have received denial of coverage notices for EVERYTHING, and when I speak to customer service reps, they are always very friendly, but blissfully ignorant of why my claims are being denied. Having this coverage is more stressful than not having coverage at all. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I may change my Insurance company just so I don't have to deal with this company for dental.
Dentaquest shoud be investigated by the federal government for false advertisement and ripping off seniors citizens you pay, pay, pay ,and never get a reimbursement where's all the money going its a rip off and to top it off my dentist never got paid from them either he quiet accepting them so I had to pay up front so I payed my Denaquest bill and paid out of pocket too for the work there a scam !!! and just try to get a hold Dentaquest somebody is lining there pockets ,There needs to be a class action lawsuit !!!
Ive never received an insurance card, Ive never been able to reach a person or access member portal, and I still cannot locate an actual dentist who accepts the insurance. I did reach someone else (helping me with medical insurance) who provided me some contact information for providers, which it turns out no longer practice or they arent actually accepting this insurance. I have found that the providers that do only accept through certain limited availability clinics and are unreachable. I reached out to one today (the only one I hadn't contacted) and was told despite the website information they're not available for general dentistry. This insurance is being paid to do absolutely nothing as far as I can tell because its so inaccessible and useless for the average person. If I needed orthodontics, maybe I could've found a single provider. Unfortunately, I simply need a dentist. I have also emailed dentaquest, and was directed back to every other method of contact that had failed multiple times. I do not recommend this insurance at all. Unfortunately, there's really nothing ive been able to do about it. This insurance provides nothing. No customer support. No functioning tools. No providers for dental. Essentially, its just like not having any insurance except dentists flat out refuse to schedule you and tell you to, "get different insurance".
From the very beginning, they gave conflicting information. I went to my primary care dentist for what should’ve been covered. Services. I had an emergency of filling cracked, and the tooth became infected. My dentist had to give me an injection of pain medication to even get into my mouth enough to assess the tooth and take x-rays. They denied cover coverage on the injection stating that it was unnecessary. They also required me to make a co-pay on the anabiotic.I needed to see an endodontist. The tooth was complex and needed a root canal. I called DentaQuest. They stated that the root canal would be covered and that they had in network providers. They provided me with the name of and Endodontist 45 minutes minutes from my home.Upon calling the Endodontist office, they stated that they did not have a provider and did not take that insurance and had not for over three years.When I called back, I learned that there was not one Endodontist in the state of Oregon that would take this insurance that was in network.I knew I would come out of pocket for an out of network provider, but sought to find one that would take the insurance and there were none.Then I decided perhaps removing the tooth would be necessary primary care dentist stated that it could not be done by a regular dentist that I would need oral surgery because complex route. Same problem not one Oral Surgeon in the state of Oregon would take the insurance in network. They had one provider out of state in California. I would have to commute either by flying and taking two different flights to get there or by driving close to eight hours paying for a hotel and then driving back it would be doing it twice because they would not do the assessment visit and the actual visit in the same day. They also would want me to come back a third time for follow up. Wellcare was my health insurance dental quest was the 🦷Dental they offered through the Senior Advantage plan, stay away from both. Wellcare is a nightmare too.
The staff is excellent at advantage dental in winston or. The manager is a great and compassionate person whom will above and beyond to help you with any problem you may have I wouldn't go any place different these people will do anything g to make your experience a great one no matter what thanks Tim F
