I'd actually like to give a 4.5, as everything is really good apart from minor blemishes:
My experience is based on owning for 2 years, 2 of the more expensive throws = the herringbone.
They are excellent:
The 6 different heat settings and 3 auto shut of timer settings (1, 3, or 9 hours) work extremely well.
They can indeed be washed. I put them on the (gentle) wool setting in the washing machine. I have had no problems with this at all.
I live on my own for most of the time. These throws are so good that I don't have the heating on...(until I have visitors). Saves massively in heating bills!
The not so good ( = the blemishes):
My puppy chewed though the controller cable.
1) You cannot call Dreamland; you have to email them.
2) You cannot buy a spare cable, and they are also basically not available elsewhere.
So, I thought of buying a refurbished, cheaper model throw, just to get the cable.
The saving graces!
Dreamland was properly responsive to emails. They confirmed that the controller was same for the herringbone and the cheaper model. (But warned about potential safety issues with 2nd hand controllers etc)
SO.... On reflection, I think I'll buy a new herringbone throw as they currently on offer. I will then have a spare for as and when one of my throws fails.
Frankly, I love these throws. Thank you, Dreamland.
I purchased a heated blanket in May 2024 and absolutely love it. Unfortunately, it stopped working in January 2026. I took the chance in contacting Dreamland to see if they could advise and to my absolute delight, they have issued a brand new blanket on the same day I sent the faulty one back to them. The customer care I have received has been exceptional and I genuinely cannot recommend Dreamland enough.
I placed an order on 1st January for 2 blankets, but the delivery service failed to drop them off at the designated pick-up point and returned them to the seller. There’s no phone support available, so I used the chat feature to request redelivery to my home address, which I’ve provided twice. Unfortunately, I haven’t received any response for over a week. I understand that the team might be busy post-holidays, but the lack of customer support is disappointing. I’m left with £100 taken from me and no product or clarity on when I will receive my order. Can someone from the seller please provide an update?
I was asked to provide my availability for a collection, and I mentioned I could be available most of the time, suggesting a Tuesday would work well. Unfortunately, that was the last update I received until I followed up again on Tuesday. I cannot endorse this company due to the poor customer service. There is no phone number to call, making it impossible to reach a staff member directly. The website's chat feature seems to be AI-driven, providing only scripted responses and generating support tickets without connecting me to a real person. The only prompt response I got regarding my order was after posting an earlier review elsewhere. While I did receive a refund, I still have two items ready for collection, with no information about when that will happen. The last correspondence from the company was on Friday afternoon, and I confirmed that Tuesday would work for collection. Since then, I've had no further communication. Today is Tuesday, and I still haven't received confirmation about the collection. I emailed again this morning seeking clarity and am still waiting for a reply. This level of communication is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone thinking of purchasing from this company to reconsider. If you do decide to go ahead, consider using a reputable reseller that offers better customer service, with real human chat support and a more reliable return process.
Initially, it worked well, but after 10 months, it stopped functioning. This seems to be a common problem, as I found online instructions for troubleshooting. When those didn’t help, I reached out to the support team, only to be informed that they wouldn't replace it without a receipt. I had purchased it as a gift and unfortunately discarded the receipt with my other paperwork.

STEER CLEAR! Be cautious if you’re thinking about purchasing anything from this company. Good luck if your item is defective and you need to return it, as it’s nearly impossible to reach anyone. You can only send messages and then wait days for a response, if you're fortunate. I’ve been trying for almost a week to get a return address for a faulty heated throw that hardly heats up—I’m still waiting. This must relate to their 14-day return policy, which is about to expire. They clearly don’t want you to return items. Customer service is appalling. What a complete mess of a company, once reputable—now in disarray. I will never purchase anything from them again. WAKE UP AND PROVIDE THE BASIC SERVICE CUSTOMERS DESERVE, AS YOU ARE FAILING MISERABLY AND NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER CARE.
