Booked through a third party website. Needed two proof of address. I mean, what it wrong with the driving licence as a proof of address? Anyway, turns out that debit cards require you to take out the highest level of cover. This doubled the cost of the hire! The laughable bit is they make you watch a video waffling on about how they don’t have hidden fees, only to be slapped with a £45 extra charge minutes later. Not a very good experience in my opinion.On the plus side, I only booked a fiat 500 sized car, but got issued a massive SUV. Probably too big for my likingStill waiting for my deposit to be refunded as well. Dragging their heels over this.
