This product was a total failure and a waste of money. I attempted to redye a pair of black jeans that had faded, following the instructions precisely. Unfortunately, after one wash, they faded back to their original color. The dye simply does not hold, and I strongly advise against purchasing this fabric dye.
This dye was a total disappointment and a waste of money. I tried to restore a faded pair of black jeans by following the instructions closely, but after just one wash, they faded back to their original state. The dye didn’t hold at all! I strongly recommend against buying this fabric dye.
There seems to be a major flaw in the dyeing process described. The instructions say to place wet clothes in the washing machine and add the dye powder pod on top. However, when the machine starts, the powder spills out over the wet clothes, leaving behind unsightly, heavily dyed spots that do not wash out. The final result ruined my clothes, even though some parts looked fine.
The initial results were promising. I managed to restore color to a deep bleached patch on my blue jeans, which surprised me. However, I can’t speak to how it will hold up after further washes, as I didn’t wash it with other clothes that mattered to me.
I’ve always appreciated this detergent — my first experience was fantastic, with a lovely fragrance and excellent results. However, my second purchase was disappointing; the scent was off, and the washing results were underwhelming. The company confirmed the product’s authenticity, but I’m unsure if the formula has changed or if this batch was faulty. Either way, I won’t be purchasing it again.
I've used this product successfully on towels before, but this time was a failure. I bought the Smoke Grey dye for some small hand towels, and they turned out pale green with unwanted purple and pink patches. It ruined the towels and was quite expensive at £7.99. I'm extremely frustrated.
After reading the reviews, I hesitated but decided to dye my sofa covers. I used a local laundromat for the larger machine and was pleased with the outcome. I chose forest green for my cream sofa, and it’s currently drying. I hope it hasn’t shrunk, but the coverage looks great, and the instructions were easy to follow. This has potentially saved me a lot of money.
I really wish I had read the reviews before dyeing a pair of white jeans with the machine dye. I followed the directions closely, as they were 100% cotton with no synthetic fibers. However, like others, I ended up with jeans that are now ruined, covered in pink and blue speckles. I strongly advise against buying this product.
