We submitted two samples collected in the same way, but the service failed one of them. This led to an additional cost of 80% of the original fee for a new assessment, along with notable delays. Overall, this was a frustrating experience.
I would not use this service again. Initially, they provided swabs to send back, but then it took a month for them to reach Australia. I didn't receive any paperwork to include with my swabs. Thankfully, I reached out or my samples wouldn't have been processed. It took over two months to get results. For nearly $400, I could have chosen a service that delivers results in less than a week.
After hearing the vet's estimate of over $300 for the test, we decided to try this service. The experience was fantastic, and they delivered the results as promised, providing a list of allergen-free options based on the reactions. This unique offering wasn't available from any other provider we found. Overall, it was a wonderful service that was budget-friendly.
Avoid using this service for pet testing. Despite being a local website, my dog's intolerance test was processed in Australia. I should have trusted my instincts and requested a refund right away. My test has been stuck in customs for over a week, and my email from four days ago hasn't been acknowledged. I feel scammed. I've emailed again asking for a refund, but I'm doubtful I will receive either the results or my money back.
This service advertises a fixed fee for a DNA test with no hidden charges. However, they obscure in their Terms & Conditions that an additional fee of $85 applies if a sample isn't returned within three months of payment. This is a troubling practice. If there are potential extra charges, they should be clearly stated upfront. I returned my sample two weeks past the cutoff, and I had to pay the extra fee or risk losing my initial payment for the kit.
