I have bought a £13,000.00 GEORGES L'ENFANT necklace along with a bracelet. The bracelet is beautiful. However, I find only three marks on the necklace, and all of them are eagle marks. I could not find GL's mark when I checked through the whole necklace for a dozen times. Then I turned to the auction house for help. I called a dozen times and email them the pictures of the necklace trying to get their help to locate the GL's mark. The contact person took three days and he finally replied simply saying that the mark should be somewhere on the necklace with no further assistance. Up until this moment, I still don't believe this auction house would sell a fake. But the way they respond to my questions is very shady. I am going to negotiate with them again and pursue other ways to solve this in the meantime.

The registering procedure was simple, as was the online bidding system. We asked for a condition report on our selected lot - a ring. We were happy with the result of the report, except the ring was identified as size L, however it was size I. Also we have discovered that the mounting of the Ruby was insufficient to secure it. We are thus having to get it reset and the ring remade using a new band.
