I ordered Lilium bulbs, specifically Rio Negro and Heartstrings varieties. Unfortunately, both shipments arrived in unacceptable condition. Original Shipment
One bulb was very soft, with scales falling off and opening like a flower — clearly deteriorating and nonviable. Another bulb had visible mold upon arrival. The third bulb was severely dehydrated and of poor quality. Replacement Shipment
All three replacement bulbs were in even worse condition than the originals. Each bulb was desiccated, molded, and not viable. Furthermore, the basal plates on all three bulbs were rotten and mushy, rendering them completely unusable. Missing Heartstrings Lilium
Additionally, I never received my Heartstrings Lilium bulbs. After the disappointing Rio Negro bulbs, I decided to cancel my remaining order and managed to get a refund after several phone calls, chats, and emails. Packaging
Both shipments were poorly packaged in perforated plastic bags without any peat moss, padding, or protective material. This is inadequate for live bulbs and likely contributed to their poor condition upon arrival. This review represents my experience and the state of the products I received.

The plants I received have been planted and are already beginning to bloom. They look fine. My issue isn't with the plants I received. My issue is with the plants I DIDN'T receive. Ordered and paid for two pkgs of 10 each Hostas. Received two packages, one with 7, the other with 6 plants. Planned my garden around 20 Hostas. Asked for a replacement of the missing plants, instead got a credit. Requested a second time for a replacement instead of a credit. Second request received the following reply "already assisted by Shane." NOT what I would call acceptable assistance. Decided to move on to Eden Brothers to supply my missing Hostas. Hopefully they will be more accomodating.
Placed order 2 weeks ago, followed with them and asked for estimated day of shipping and they said they dont know and they don’t want to give the date because they cannot promise it will come that day. WTF?! I would give 0 star
Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Ordered more than $100 worth of bulbs and received NONE. The website said they are in stock and will ship in 3 - 5 days...LIES!!! Do not waste your money. I am still waiting for my refund and it has been more than 2 weeks!
I have ordered my fall planted bulbs from multiple different vendors, including other subsidiaries of Holland bulb group. With Easy to grow bulbs, I have had a wonderful experience this year. I placed multiple orders with them. The bulbs were healthier and reasonably priced. I had an issue with one of my orders and they provided a resolution, the very next day. From answering my questions to quick shipping, everything went smooth. I would definitely buy from them again! Thank you for the effort you put in to provide such a great customer service!
My order was incorrect. They sent dupes of some items and not the correct items at all. I have called (never can get anyone) and left messages, I have texted and no response. I have been waiting inline for a chat for over an hour. This was my first and last order. They entice you will a sale and free shipping, but obviously have no idea what they are doing. I'm surprised they are still in business. Wonder if I will ever get a reply. Update as of this afternoon 9/10/25 - FINALLY I got an email from them. They claim my order is correct. They combine single packages to make larger combo selections. Not sure I follow that, but for the price not going to argue any further. Since it is still impossible to get hold of them, after two hours no one ever answered the chat or phone, still giving them a bad review for service.
When I received my 1st package of Lipstick Blonde Hosta roots they were dry and had no eye sprouts at all just roots. I called and emailed with pictures immediately and got a response that they would send a replacement box. I received the replacement today and the roots were the same No eye sprouts just roots. I have called and sent another email with pictures asking for a full refund to my credit card. I'm hoping they do the right thing and refund quickly or I will file a claim with my credit card company. Too bad they can't clean up their act and send quality plants.
I’m a professional horticulturist and cut flower grower. I placed a large order of fall-planted bulbs and corms with Easy to Grow for some key garden areas at my farm in July, expecting viable, in-season stock. Instead, I received desiccated, crunchy, dead ranunculus corms — clearly left over from the previous year. They were brittle, shriveled, and completely unsuitable for planting. No matter the sale price, fall-planted corms (or early spring, if you’re in a colder zone) cannot be sold in July from the previous year’s harvest and expected to perform. Just like seeds, bulbs and corms have a viability window — and these were well past it. I raised this issue clearly and professionally, and was ignored.Worse, when I reported the problem (with photos), I was told that wasn’t enough. They refused to accept the dead corms back, and instead demanded that I remove every single corm from every single bag — over 100 corms from a dozen + bags — and photograph them individually. This is not only unreasonable, it’s insulting. If it’s anything like the last time I had to complain (over rotten allium bulbs), I’ll be told one is “missing” or looks “viable,” and offered a partial refund. Sadly, I forgot this was where that had happened. Easy to Grow has a pattern of dodging responsibility and offloading the burden of proof onto the customer. Their “customer service” strategy is to exhaust you into silence. Avoid this company. I’m filing a dispute with my credit card company and will never order from them again. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation.PS: If you order any of their curated collections, be prepared: they do not ship them bundled or labeled as collections. The packing slip won’t reference what you actually ordered. I intentionally chose curated mixes I planned to plant together, but what I received was a generic box of individually labeled packets (e.g., “Pink Ranunculus,” “White Freesia”) with no indication of which belonged to which mix.If you only order one collection, you might be able to piece it together — but if you order several, you’ll have to dig up the original listings just to identify your order and figure out what’s missing. When I raised this concern, the response was basically, “Yeah, that stinks. Thanks for the feedback.” A thoughtful, professional response would have been: “We’re so sorry — here’s a breakdown of your curated collections and what’s in each so you can double-check your shipment and plan your planting.”
