Terrible communication!!! One of their products disappeared. I wrote them asking why and never got a response back. A purchase was made and 4 weeks have gone by with no delivery. I wrote them and never got a response. Generally very, very long delivery times. And they rarely respond to email questions.
I recently ordered from the English Tea Store, and I’m absolutely delighted with the experience! If I could give -50 stars I would! This company is a real pain to deal with. They didn't have my tea in stock (backordered). OK fine. They offered me to cancel the order (which I did immediately, and asked for refund) and told them I would order somewhere else as I needed the tea rapidly. They said they would send my request for cancellation and someone should contact me (Nobody did). 2-3 days later as I had already received the other company's tea, they wrote me to say they now have received the tea and it's out for shipping to me!!! I reiterated that it was cancelled and that I didn't want the tea and they kept saying they couldn't stop the shipment. I sent them proof of my request for cancellation and they said AGAIN they could not stop it from being shipped. I requested someone contacted me to resolved the matter and no one contacted me except customer service again to tell me the exact same thing: it was too late to stop shipping! How can it be too late when it was already cancelled? They just don't want to solve the problem. I told them I would never buy again from them, and that is not how you do business! They just don't respond to that other than saying again: it was too late and impossible to stop the shipping. So, I told them I would not accept the package and would dispute the charge on my credit card. They responded with the exact same answer again!! So, the package has been shipped and is on its way to me even though I had cancelled my order when they didn't even have the tea in stock!!
Terrible company. I ordered chocolate both in winter and summer. Paid extra ice and sealed packaging with both occasions chocolate arriving melted. They blamed me for not getting one day delivery and paying $50 for $10 worth chocolate. Customer service is dismissive and appear mission in life ignore customers and never give refunds. Will never use again, will blast in social media and make sure people know
While I’ve purchased in 2024 twice, and absolutely loved the items I purchased. When I replenished this go round, the loose leaf Earl Grey was positively SATURATED with Bergamot oil, to the point where it is not drinkable. Last year, I was able to call the phone number, and speak to a representative. Now, they have eliminated the service reps, and now you get a response from an AI robot. I won’t be purchasing again. I’ll find another source for loose leaf Earl Grey. What a waste of money as I purchased the huge bag of loose leaf as I was pleased with my previous purchases. EDIT: after sending three emails with my concerns, this company refunded my money for the loose leaf tea. While I would prefer to have spoken to someone, they ultimately did the right thing. Thank you
To be fair, I had used this company years ago with good results, and I probably would have been happy if UPS hadn't lost my package.Here's what happened: I placed my order, it was shipped, great. Everything looks normal and fine. Then, UPS loses the package. According to the tracking page, it went "out for delivery" in different state and didn't update for nearly two weeks. Because of the way it was shipped, I can't file a claim with UPS, so I contact the merchant. I explain everything. Customer care just tells me not to worry because it's out for delivery. I email again, explaining--again--why there is a problem, and it gets escalated. Finally, they admit it's lost and ask if I want a reshipment or a refund. At this point, a reshipment was neither useful nor even feasible, so I asked for a refund. They get back to me saying great! We'll process the reshipment ASAP. This was after a week of trying to get it fixed through customer care and nearly three weeks after the order was placed. In the end, I just gave up and filed a dispute with my credit card company.So, yeah. They're probably fine as long as nothing goes wrong, but I'd rather not take that chance.
