We bought a 1 e74GV etrailer Electric Trailer Jack w/ 7-Way - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 22-1/2" Lift - 5K
back in August. It quit working. I called the company, Josh is out all week. I spoke to the receptionist. She said in order to use the warranty I need to remove the jack and send it back to them at my expense. They have a discounted shipping account but won't use it. I have to pay to box it up and send it back in order for them to send a replacement. I would think I could take video/pictures of this not working, take a picture of the cord cut (to show I'm not fibbing) and they would replace it...but no. I have to send it in. I find this frustrating and don't feel like this is taking care of the customer.
The shipping was not adequately protected, resulting in damage due to large industrial staples in the original packaging that were not secured within another box. I'm extremely frustrated as I needed this to live off-grid and power my batteries for heating. This delay likely means another two weeks in the cold. I called to inquire, and although the new package was meant to be sent via UPS, it was shipped USPS instead, with no tracking information available. I received a $30 refund, but that doesn't compensate for the major inconvenience. They didn't even offer to expedite a new shipment for a true two-day delivery. I might be waiting another four days for it to arrive. My original order was expected by January 8th, and now it's the 15th, with no idea when my converter will actually arrive. This is my first experience with this company, and I may need to rethink future purchases.
I’ve been ordering from this company for years. Their customer service is truly outstanding. When I reach out to them, it feels like they know me personally. They have access to my complete order history and really pay attention. Additionally, they ship faster than many competitors and provide constant updates throughout the process. Recently, I asked a question on the product page for a trailer coupler I ordered and received. A representative responded immediately, addressed my inquiry, and showed genuine interest in my project. Great job, company!
Someone fraudulently used my credit card to purchase an item from etrailer.com. When notifying them, the customer service representative initially asked me what could they do about it! I provided the order number and told them it was in their best interest to follow up as the item was still in route. The representative did contact UPS to re-route the item but then had the audacity to suggest that I NOT report this to my credit card company because it would delay the refund process. WHAT! Should I sit back and let more fraudulent purchases be made? I find this company's follow-up to a fraudulent purchase unacceptable and caution others using this company.
