I signed up with EuropAssist through Flight Centre for a trip to New Zealand. Half the trip was cancelled due to very bad weather. On return I provided EuropAssist with all the documentation that they requested, and probably more. In the first month I was passed around at least five staff at EuropAssist, each contacted me requesting more information with no detail on what that information may be. I kept resending them documents that they already had. I never provided anything new. It was not until I got Flight Centre involved that I got any progress with my claim. I have finally received some money back (after 3 months of constant haggling) and I will never use EuropAssist again. Do your research and find a reputable travel insurance company.
Lack of response to claims and emails is frustrating. I've been trying to reach out for three months without any valid replies. I purchased this insurance for my parents when they traveled to the UK from another country, and it feels like I'm dealing with scammers.
The company fails to respond to claims or emails, claiming they can't be delivered. It's a frustrating experience with no valid feedback after three months of attempting to communicate. I purchased the insurance for my parents' trip, but now I'm left without support.
I had a terrible experience with the service. My claim was denied because my trip began in a different country, despite their unclear conditions. They acknowledged the issues but still refused my claim, leaving me with unexpected expenses. I highly recommend avoiding this company.
This insurer should be avoided at all costs. After suffering a medical issue in the UK, they insisted I was fit to fly against medical advice. Now, with my return flight approaching, my claim remains unprocessed, leaving me without coverage. It's utterly disgraceful.
After leaving my camera on a train in Switzerland, I faced a convoluted claim process. The system didn't recognize my policy number, and even my agent struggled to assist. Ultimately, they decided the depreciation was 90%, leaving me with only a fraction of its value. This company consistently underdelivers.
I booked an apartment in Vietnam with added insurance from the service, and when we arrived during severe flooding, they denied any responsibility. Their response was to bombard me with terms and conditions instead of helping. This company truly exemplifies a scam.
