its a total scam. You cannot trust the reviews published by Expedia /AARP. Make a reservation at a hotel that is highly rated and when you check in, its totally not as the reviews stated. 8.8 rating for example, one assumes its out of 10, but I can show photos where its 8.8 out of 100 and of course no changes, refunds or cancelations. So suck it up or move to another hotel on your own. Re. Hotel Conquistador Ciudad de Juarez, but this isn't my first experience that was negative and reviewing properties is impossible on the Expedia/AARP reservations site.

Extremely stressful experience – duplicate charges, canceled card, and ticket risk

I had an extremely stressful and time-consuming experience booking airline tickets and hotel through Expedia (AARP Travel). My golden trip with my daughter to Paris!During the booking process, duplicate transactions were created, and I was charged multiple times for what should have been a single itinerary. As a result, I had to dispute the charges with my bank, which led to my credit card being canceled to prevent further unauthorized transactions. In addition, despite entering the passenger names correctly, Expedia’s system recorded them incorrectly. I had to request name corrections multiple times over several days (from March 11 to March 19), and each time I was told it would be fixed within 72 hours, but it was not. This required repeated follow-ups and added significant stress.Even after providing documentation of the duplicate charges, Expedia’s dispute team claimed they could not see multiple charges and insisted they were valid. The situation escalated further when I received a message stating that my tickets would be considered “unpaid” and could be canceled unless I made another payment — despite the fact that I had already paid and had valid tickets issued. At that point, I had to contact both Delta and American Airlines directly to verify my reservations. Fortunately, both airlines confirmed that my tickets were properly issued, paid, and secured. However, reaching that point required hours of calls, chats, and follow-ups that should not have been necessary. This experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted many hours of my time, and created serious concern about losing an important international trip with my daughter.I strongly recommend booking flights directly with the airlines instead of using third-party platforms to avoid these kinds of issues.I will not use Expedia again for flight bookings never ever. Disastrous!

3 hours on the phone

First I will say that the reason I needed to make a change in the return flight was my fault. I tried to make the change through the airline but was told that it needed to be changed through the agent, expedia, then was told aarp. After being given 4 different numbers to call for aarp, I got a foreign agent and spent 45 minutes to be told the change fee was 260 and then that was charged to over 300 and the "travel insurance " that I purchased didn't cover anything! Never ever will use aarp travel again! PS: Just found out cs guy didn't check that I was within the 24 hrs window to cancel so gave me bad information.

Unhappy with our stay

This review is for the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Exeter, NH. The hotel was under renovation which we were not informed of ahead of time! Parking lot was full of construction pods that made many parking spaces unavailable to customers. Half the lobby area was full of dirty, dusty bathroom furnishings and this was our breakfast table view along with a poorly disguised waste water pipe. Had no cold water available in our room’s sink and tub and we reported this twice to the front desk. We ask for and were given 3 room keys at check-in but only 1 worked! We had to go to the front desk to have this corrected. There was a wet and dirty wash cloth from previous guest left in our shower. And we were charged full price for all of this!
