I just finished season 1 of the show and have never felt more let down! This is NOT a survival show. I advise against watching it; while it started off well, the ending was the most disappointing I've ever encountered. Initially, I enjoyed the show, but they completely botched it with a poorly executed conclusion. It shifted from a survival narrative to a luck-based game show. The finale hinged on a 5-letter code, which felt rushed and unsatisfactory. The premise was about survival, not competition. On the final day, competitors were told their families had to rescue them if they lost, which deviated from the original format and felt improvised to ensure a specific winner. They seemed to favor an underdog who didn't truly earn the victory for shock value. The strongest competitor, who consistently performed well, should have won but ended up in second place. I'm really disillusioned. The challenges appeared rigged, and the conclusion was even more so. The only deserving family finished in second place, while the show failed to deliver a fair outcome. I can't recommend it unless you want to feel frustrated with the families and vent your disappointment in a lengthy review about this disappointing show.
