Review Time
I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order. My order still hasn't arrived, despite numerous emails and messages via their website. There is a complete lack of communication. This is the first and last time I will deal with this company. I recommend purchasing fabric elsewhere; I certainly wish I had.
Ordered some fabric a couple of weeks ago and didn’t hear anything for over a week so I filled in their contact form which said they’d reply in 24-48 hours. As it was the weekend, I left it a few more days but they never replied. I then emailed them and explained that because they’d taken so long to dispatch the fabric, I’d had to buy some from elsewhere so I would like to be refunded. Finally received an email back and despite me saying I needed a refund, they sent the fabric. I told them I didn’t need it now but they kept saying there was nothing they could do as the order had been sent out. I went back to them again and they offered me a £5 discount code. As if I’d ever order from them again. Everything about this company is appalling especially the customer service. Don’t waste your money. Buy from elsewhere.
When my ordered hadn't arrived within the three-five days promised, I checked out The Fabric Guys on Trust Pilot. When I saw the large number of negative comments I got a bit worried. I emailed the company and when I didn't receive a reply I emailed again the following day. I quickly received an apology, and a promise that 'I will immediately check with our dispatch team to inquire about the status and ensure your order is dispatched promptly.' It arrived the next day. I am delighted with the quality and the price of the fabric. So all in all, a reasonably good experience with a hitherto unknown company. Will I use them again? Possibly.
Order stated delivery 3-5 days. By day 5, no confirmation that item had been dispatched so emailed them to ask when it would be dispatched.Response was an email advising of refund that may take up to 10 days to reach my account.NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER.Will not use them again.
Fabric is lovely, however, delivery was supposed to be 3-5 working days. On day 3 the status was still at order placed, sent an email and got a response saying they would look into it. On day 5 I received another email saying it had been dispatched on time but the couriers were slow due to lack of drivers, yet only 20 minutes after receiving the email my order status finally changed to dispatched. So they hadn’t dispatched it on time and only sent it on the last day it should have been delivered. Received it 4 days later, however, due to the delay it was too late for what I needed it for. If they had been honest and said they hadn’t dispatched it I would still have been annoyed but the fact they lied and then tried to blame another company for the delay doesn’t sit well with me at all. Disappointing as the fabric is good quality but their integrity leaves a lot to be desired
Very Poor There was a delay in my order due to stock availability. After two weeks I emailed to find out why I hadn't heard anything from them. I then got a reply after 72 hours, despite their website stating they would respond in 24-48 hours. Only to be advised of the delay. It took another week for my material to arrive. Only one piece was what I actually ordered. The other two were substitutes. There was no invoice included or any further communication from the company. I will definitely not be using again. Very disappointing.
