I had been going there even tho the women screwed my hair up about every time. Im done now. She thinks she is cute working the word focus in her conversation.( F*** off cause your stupid). I will now tell everyone how terrible you are and you don't care if you mess up. You may be the manager, but you lack integrity, you're one of the reasons people will never come to fantastic sams.

dont go…

so my step dad took me to fantastic sams. and signed me in or something. this nice lady. she sat me down AND without asking what i wanted she just cut my hair. and i'm like "what the flip, dude?" and she just continues to cut my hair. so i said. "keep the top long." and lets just say i look like a character from boyz in the hood.go there its pretty goood alright :D

My bad experience today 1/17/2026

I went Fantastic Sams in 6 miles Cypress today 1/17/2026They have eliminated majority of their hairdressers and the place was empty when i came inI needed back trim and the hairdresser did the back and then also cleaned slightly sides total time spent 10 min at bestthey have charged me for whole haircut which was not done she did not touch my hair on top at allI understand they are scrambling but i would never return to them again

The manager lacks integrity and is disrespectful

Ladies Beware !

It pains me to leave a bad review . On thinking about my bad experience today , People need to be made aware . My friend had a nice experience recently , and she recommended Jessica . However, Jessica wasn’t available when I arrived this morning . A very sweet Stylist greeted me at the door ; was very kind , welcoming , friendly and chatty so I decided to take a chance that she could trim my hair . Complementary shampoo was good . On consultation: I explained I had a precision Bob that needed just a trim like an inch off and reshape and the young lady said it was no trouble . She said she could achieve that even with layers if I wanted . I opted for just the trim . The results of the cut were definitely not as promised . The sweet young lady hadn’t a clue about precision Bobs , I’m sorry to say looking at my cut at home after the blow dry . I wondered if she is liscenced? Uneven lengths in the back and all the way around &sides don’t match ! I have to change the part to hide the unevenness in the front / The angle is botched on the one side. This is so unacceptable ! There was no manager to complain about the mishap and to see about making the matter “right”when I was there this morning . Christmas holiday is a few days away and I have to pray I find a qualified skilled beautician somewhere with an opening before the holiday to rework the botched cut . We all have places to be this time of year ,are short of time and money . We need to be presentable. I’ll be paying twice now for what should have been a minimal trim and a time saver . A complete waste of time and money . I do not recommend this shop .

Stylist Kara (Cara?) at Fantastic Sams Rhinelander, WI

I gotta say, for the low prices they charge, Kara, (not to be mistaken for name 'KerrIE, who I don't know) at FS has done an excellent job every time! I am an old 'Boomer' & don't often go to get hair cut, but Kara still finds the time to get me in & I make sure 'she gets hers' for that. I find Kara to be down to Earth, like me. She is not all hoity- toity, & fake like some of the big, fancy salons. There is 1 other stylist who did my hair about 3 weeks ago - she was also very good. I was killing some time, waiting for another person to get done at their appmt. So, on a whim, I got my haircut at FS. Problem is I cannot write this FS stylist's name because I forgot it. If this FS stylist wants me to put it in this review, she would have to call or email me to tell me it. (a good test to see if businesses pay attention to TPilot reviews- hey?) One more thing about FS in general that I like: You can get an appointment without having to wait 2-3 weeks - often same day at FS, if not specifying particular stylist. Well that's about it for me!

Twice now over the few years' time that…

Twice now over the few years' time that I have been going to Fantastic Sam's, they have increased their prices without posting on their website. Both times I was shocked at the price increase. I will definitely not be returning to Fantastic Sam's as $42 for a simple hair trim with blow dry is unreasonable. I will find some place cheaper.

I was a loyal Fantastic Sams customer for years—always tipping generously and trusting their stylists with my slow-growing, carefully maintained hair. That trust was shattered after Lauren at the Cypress Lakes location gave me a disastrous haircut and coloring, leaving my hair visibly fried, broken, and uneven. The salon acknowledged the damage, but that didn’t undo the harm. I even gave them a second chance to make things right by scheduling with Jodi at the San Carlos Park location.I invested hundreds in restorative products, treatments, and extensions trying to salvage my hair. We tried every fix—bond-building masks, deep conditioners—before accepting that the damage was irreversible. What’s devastating is that I had no idea my hair had been cut down to just ¼ inch until the extensions she installed began falling out while I was traveling for work. That shocking discovery left me humiliated and panicked in professional settings. This appointment was tied to my 60th birthday, and I had provided a photo of the hairstyle I wanted. Instead, I was given faulty extensions and a heartbreaking outcome.To make matters worse, the salon refused to provide a receipt, overcharged me for foils I never received, and kept the extra extensions I paid for. After I voiced concerns, they deactivated my customer account, cutting me off from promotional discounts and erasing my history with them. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I’ve received no response.I’ve spent over $1,200 trying to recover physically and emotionally from this experience. Fantastic Sams demonstrated misrepresentation of services, gross negligence, and deeply unfair business practices. Every paying customer deserves honesty, compassion, and accountability.
