This is a really good service however, they say you can trial for free for a month but this is UNTRUE as they only allow one account per phone number and as I create numerous accounts for clients I never get the free month as you have to pay immediately.

I really want to like Fastmail because, from a technical perspective, the service looks extremely promising. The interface is clean, the features are powerful, the App is great and things like masked email addresses are genuinely impressive. It feels like a very well-engineered product and exactly what I was looking for. However, I have to admit that I’m quite concerned after reading multiple reports about account lockouts on platforms like Trustpilot and discussions on Reddit. Of course, I cannot verify these individual cases, and I don’t know whether they are rare exceptions or more common than they seem. Still, the idea of potentially losing access to your own email account is very unsettling. This concern is especially serious when using masked email addresses, since many other accounts may depend on that one mailbox. The thought of being locked out and possibly struggling to regain access, even if you did nothing wrong, creates a real sense of insecurity. I do understand that providers must prevent abuse and protect their systems from malicious use. At the same time, this also implies that accounts are being monitored in some way, even if only through automated systems and that alone feels uncomfortable from a privacy perspective.Technically, Fastmail seems excellent. My hesitation is purely about building up trust and risk management. Additionally, having email storage located in Europe, or at least offering an EU-based data storage option, would be very reassuring, especially from a GDPR perspective. For many users, data location and legal jurisdiction are key factors when choosing an email provider. So for me, the decision ultimately comes down to a trade-off between the technical excellence of Fastmail and my remaining privacy concerns and at this point, I’m still not sure which side outweighs the other.Greater clarity in these areas would go a long way toward building confidence, because right now, the uncertainty is the biggest barrier for me. That said, I genuinely wish other email providers would offer the same level of technical polish and refinement that Fastmail clearly delivers.
I have been with Fastmail for many, many years and have never been less than pleased. I had a recent question about setting up a mail rule and their response was swift, Best of all, the response was perfect in that every time I read a suggestion they anticipated my next question and provided a response without my having to ask. Wonderful service! HIGHLY recommend
Fastmail has been noticeably faster and more reliable for me than my previous setup. The lack of ads is a relief, and the interface stays clean and focused on email instead of extra clutter. Privacy and security feel like actual priorities rather than marketing points. I also appreciate that when I contacted support, I received a clear and useful reply without long delays. Overall, moving from Gmail to Fastmail has been a practical upgrade with no real downsides so far.
In reality, in spite of all the fine words and promises, it seems to be a totally unsupported product. I downloaded the trial, which does not seem to contain the functionality that would allow any assessment of its capabilities. I feel like perhaps I am doing something wrong, but AI says not. So I opened a case with support to get some advice, but (I know you've already guessed it) - Nothing!
I recently switched to Fastmail for managing emails for my family. The Family Plan (up to six people) is fantastic value for money, and the entire configuration and migration was a breeze. I had a question that was quickly answered by Fastmail's excellent support team. Highly recommend if you need a fast, cost-effective and easy-to-use email service.
