This was my first building project so it was important to get it right. I ended up getting 4 quotes, but decided to go with Tony at First Choice Extensions because he gave me more confidence than the other contractors I spoke to. The quote was competitive and I appreciated that it was far more detailed than any other quote I received, with a full breakdown of costs that others lacked.Once the project started we were introduced to AJ the project manager who has been nothing short of superb throughout. He's always available if we have any questions. Nothing is too much trouble, and communication is clear so we always know exactly what's happening at every stage.Any issues encountered (there are always some on every build, in our case caused by work done by the previous owner) have been dealt with smoothly without any hassles. And even when we changed the layout part way through, FCE were happy to adapt.Overall, I'm delighted with the experience and very happy with the results. It couldn't have gone any better. I would highly recommend Tony and AJ, they won't let you down.
This company was working on the house next door to mine, so I'd seen the quality of their work before I asked them to re-roof my existing single-storey extension. The quote was prompt and competitive and they were able to start work within ten days of me accepting. The work took two days, the workmen were self-sufficient and the place was left clean and tidy. On completion the company contacted me to check that I was happy with the work - which I was.Altogether a really good experience.

Not just the first choice for extensions! FC did an excellent job refurbishing our Edwardian period property, they came in on time, on budget and everything was delivered as promised. From the initial kick off meeting, AJ as the Project Manager did a superb job ensuring all ran smoothly. We weren’t living in the property during the renovation and he kept us up to date when we couldn’t attend and even helped ensure that our client supplied items were sequenced on time. FC were sympathetic to the property and worked well/accommodated other trades which we had already engaged before FC. Although with their network they really are a one stop shop. We would use them again and we don’t think you can give higher praise than that.
What a great team! From the start, these talented tradesmen (bricklayers, electricians, plasterers, plumbers and drainage, tilers, decorators, all worked together so well, coordinated through their project manager, AJ. They were punctual, hard working, polite and happy to give advice when needed. They also worked quickly to finish before the stated deadline despite the often inclement weather conditions. A definite recommendation for First Choice Extensions from me!
Any form of building works can create a level of additional stress to a busy persons life. What is needed is a steady safe pair of hands and that is what you get with First choice. If there is ever a problem, it is dealt with as an obstacle to be overcome. This ethos puts you at immediate ease. The team were professionals and all excellent within their given trades, but mostly kind and considerate individuals. The work was done on time and in accordance with the contract we had in place. The end product ( new loft room and bathrooms) is fantastic and we could not be happier.
