We were looking to have an extension down to our property and came across FC Extensions on the Trust Pilot website. The reviews were excellent and that is how we got in touch with FCE. Tony came to visit us and we found this consultation extremely useful. It felt like a realistic approach to a building project. He talked about the various phases in the journey and overall it was very reassuring as it was a very open conversation around the scope, challenges and risks involved. We went for an all inclusive package which included the design and build. Prior to the build phase both Tony and AJ visited us and we were very impressed by their friendly and professional approach. The entire build process was managed end to end by FCE. All FCE staff who worked on the project were very courteous and professional and also very flexible. There were regular check-ins by AJ and Tony and also very prompt response for any urgent mattersOverall we are very happy with our extension and have no hesitation in recommending FCE.
Having moved to our new bungalow, we needed some alterations and improvements carrying out.Having had a few quotations and interviews, only First Choice seemed to "get" our requirements. Basically, to take on the project and manage from start to finish. We were quite anxious, having no knowledge of the processes. First Choice take on from planning to completion, removing the need for us to make decisions that we are not experienced in doing so. Also, First Choice were able to start works immediately, rather than in 4 months, or more, time.Although the project, initially, was for a conservatory replacement and internal redecoration, additional work was needed when issues were identified by First Choice. This was no "hard sell", and they had advised that issues may arise as work was carried out. Options for the additional work were offered, from leave it as it was, partial, or complete the needs in full. Quotations for all options were offered at all times. Having opted for full repairs, all works were carried out in tandem with the original project.Funds were needed in stages, not an upfront payment, either on delivery of materials or completion of a stage.All the workforce are highly professional and dedicated to their tasks. Tony, the MD, deals with any queries in a timely manner. AJ, the site manager/customer liason, kept in regular contact, depite being extreemely busy, juggling many different projects.We are now back in our transformed property, and are looking to making it a home.We would certainly recommend this company for people wishing to have work done on their property. They are not cheap, but cut no corners, with all works carried out to a high standard.
Great company from start to finish. We used First Choice Extensions for our double storey rear extension with complete internal refurbishment.From our very first meeting with Tony and the team, FC were able to offer us a clear and detailed plan of how the works would be carried out.A big selling point for FC for us was that they offered the complete package. They handled every step from the initial design and application for planning permission right through to completion with ease and professionalism. The scale of our works combined with the age of the property inevitably led to several unexpected problems throughout the project. Our dedicated project manager, AJ and his team were brilliant when these issues arose. FC were able to use their experience to quickly resolve the unexpected variations and were very considerate of budgeting requirements with the solutions offered.The after project management we have received from the FC team has also been second to none with all snags being resolved.FC extensions have been a great company to work with and we are very happy with the end result. We would definitely recommend this company.

We found FCE good value, friendly and professional and would recommend them to others who are looking for a build of a high standard. Communication was good and any issues were dealt with quickly.
We once had a large, attached garage, full of junk that we had accumulated over 30 years. We now have a wonderful studio, shower room and utility area, courtesy of First Choice Extensions. We are truly delighted with the build quality of our garage conversion and the manner in which the whole project was carried out. Our initial contact was with Tony Marsden who heads the business, and we were very impressed with his approach, which was friendly, professional, and completely transparent in terms of the costs involved. The documentation provided was comprehensive and extremely well-presented. His customer-oriented approach continued throughout the build and was echoed by all the tradespeople involved with the project. We looked forward to every visit. It was a pleasure to see the quality of the work as it was carried out and to engage with everyone involved. It should also be said that much help was also cheerfully given in areas that were not strictly part of their remit, and especially with regard to the relocation of certain heavy household effects. Special mention should be made of AJ, Project/Customer Service Manager, whom it was always a pleasure to see, even if he did consume many capsules of coffee. I am now sitting in my furnished studio and admiring the quality of my surroundings – in particular, the expert plastering, joinery, flooring and paintwork, and I am confident that all the other important aspects of the build – groundwork, roofing, plumbing and electrics will also stand the test of time.We feel that we have received excellent value for money and would whole-heartedly recommend their service to any potential client.
I've been busy enjoying my fabulous new space that First Choice build for me that it's taken me over a year to write this review! Sorry to AJ for that 😄!This was my first full house renovation project (still very much ongoing) and like most homeowners, I was apprehensive about the whole process, but from the moment I met the team at First Choice, I felt like I was in extremely capable hands.The initial consultation was friendly, approachable, and with a dash of humor that immediately put me at ease. I had very little idea what I wanted to achieve really with the project but their expertise turned my dreams into reality.The work and communication was meticulous, and they worked closely with me every step of the way. What amazed me most was their attention to detail, the little things, such as spending the time ensuring the bricks of the build closely matched the rest of the house, or the plastering around the bi-folds - it might seem like table stakes stuff but there's so many houses on my street with extensions built in a totally different brick colour that it felt like just that little bit of extra care and attention.The team also accommodated (A lot!) of last minute requests with no complaints, such as ripping out and putting a new balustrade in, ripping out and rebuilding my front porch, basically all the internal joinery and much more. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and I've received countless compliments from friends and family. First Choice turned what could have been a stressful ordeal into an enjoyable journey. Their professionalism, expertise, and good-natured banter made this partnership unforgettable.
We required a double height extension and other changes to the overall look of the house. Tony's approach to the solution was thorough and practical. A few bumps along the way and unexpected additions were explained thoroughly and the works carried out by a varied team of approachable, friendly and competent engineers. Keeping the neighbours happy was always seen as important and AJ carried these tasks out on our behalf as we were, sensibly, not living in the property during the works. The six month project was carried out on time and we've had minimal comebacks on the overall results.
This feedback is well overdue (we have been tied up with further house renovations...).FCE did an absolutely fantastic job on our extension in Wilmslow. They helped with planning permission, design and build. Professional company through and through. Given that we haven't done such a large job before, we were a bit nervous and had a lot of questions. FCE was really good putting us at ease and now that we are fully complete with all our work (and all building regs etc was completed a few months ago) we further appreciate how professional this company is. Would highly recommend.
