I honestly do not understand what the point of FENSA is. I thought that FENSA was a badge of trust with some consumer protection built in, it seems not. Not worth the paper it is written on, it is just a boys club that anyone can pay to join. The staff at FENSA are dismissive with copy and paste responses and poor attitudes.
FENSA claim to offer insurance for the charlatans at Everest, but in the same way Everest wont honour their warranty, FENSA wont honour their insurance. Flat response from FENSA, as Everest have gone broke, the insurance is no longer valid, this despite Everest operating at Everest 2020, from the same offices, with the same staff and the same directors. Disgraceful
What a waste of time! They are toothless and do not back any of the work done by window fitters. Anybody with Everest windows fitted before lockdown will now have no warranty and FENSA claim that they are not here to protect the consumer from these cowboys - surely they should be closed down for offering false hope. Their logo means NOTHING!
I had windows installed by Green Measures who are registered with Fensa. After six months I still haven’t had a Fensa certificate and don’t look like getting one. Green Measures couldn’t give a toss and Fensa can’t or won’t help. Another useless organisation like NHBC that has no powers to enforce quality, workmanship or completion of contracts. Forget Fensa registered installers, go for a local tradesman that someone you know has recommended.
FENSA ARE RUBBISH AND PROVIDE NO GUARANTEE WORTH ANYTHINGIn August 2016, I had windows installed throughout my house but a FENSA approved contractor. After the installation I was given the FENSA certificate with the registration number 11856539. Since then the installation company has ceased trading. One of the windows now has condensation. I rang FENSA which put me in touch with the insurance company Installsure. They said my address was not registered. I then spoke to staff who used to work for my installer. They said the insurance company was Ggfi. Ggfi said I was not covered.I rang FENSA again, spoke to a lady called Divine who said she would investigate the matter. She never called me back.It appears that my installer behaved quite properly and that FENSA were supposed to inform the insurance company. FENSA said they did, in September 2016 but due to a technical issue, it was not registered and as the installer was not now operating, they could do nothing. The installer followed the correct procedure. FENSA did not, but will not accept any responsibility for leaving me, a customer, without cover. There is no point in looking for a FENSA company as they do nothing.Customers and Installers beware. FENSA are rubbish.
Being a registered installer with FENSA I find it hard now to sing their praises after trying to contact them with a billing issue. I found they have removed all their email addresses off the website and any direct contact with their members, a one single phone number that had a large waiting time and contact form on their website that refused to summit and forms was the only way to speak to them now. After telephoning and waiting some time I found the staff to but has unhelpful as their website but with attitude. They had not a care for their customers and simply directed me back to their website.
