Just a logo another government backed scheme which is useless

Had windows installed had a representative from Fensa. What a joke told him the windows not installed correctly had draughty windows from day one all he said was the glass has the correct markings and left. This is supposed to be a government backed scheme all it comprises is a logo no help whatsoever they I have complained to them they have asked for evidence which I have given them a report from manufacturers and another company have confirmed the windows are draughty will be contacting a minister in government with my complaint

FENSA & Conservatories.

I rang to treble check something about FENSA today.Though I knew the answer but needed it from the horses mouth. Spoke with a very helpful and polite gent named Lewis. He knew what he was talking about and polite. It makes a big difference if someone you talk to knows what they are talking about, polite. This helps with the process even if the answers you get will not help you as it's the honesty, accuracy and delivery that counts.Thank you.

FENSA is an absolute waste of time

FENSA is an absolute waste of time. They refuse to issue a certificate because my property is not listed on the Land Registry. The Land Registry does not list ALL properties only those sold after it was set up and I have owned mine for 47 years long before the Land Registry came into being. I have tried to contact them by phone and email but the do not even have the decency to acknowledge my communications. I cannot find any information on their web site to say who is in charge or who to complain to about them. This organisation is an absolute disgrace and someone should be able to do something about them but who? It does say that they are part of the Glass Glazing Federation group but does that mean anything.I must add that I can thoroughly recommend my contractor, Yate Windows, who did an excellent job on this installation and all the otheers they have done for me over the last 30 years or more.

I contacted fensa after the installer…

I contacted fensa after the installer failed to register the installation. It took me 17 emails with fensa to sort it. I have given 3 stars because it was sorted in the end but it was hard work!! Their level of customer service is not great.

Don't waste your breath!

Why is this organisation still running. IMO, it's an industry cover to validate it's cowboy builders; set up a company, put in a rubbish installation, issue FENSA certificate, dissolve company, no comeback on anyone. register a new company and repeat.. For any validity, should insist the installers provide full insurance to back their work for the 10 year period, even when they go out of business/bust. I doubt building inspectors even check an installation, certainly not our, could see out to daylight between the window panel and the frame.

FENSA Compliance Guide

I have approached FENSA head office, repeatedly, over the last week or so requesting they confirm what the latest version of their ‘Guide for Compliance with Building Regulations in England and Wales for Replacement Doors and Windows in Dwellings’ and they absolutely refuse to confirm what version they are up to. I also asked that they send me the latest version so they sent me Edition 3 dated April 2014 which they know I am aware of. I have pointed out that there must be a later version because it refers to Building Regulations and Edition 3 will now be 6 years out of date! This is supposed to be the umbrella organisation to a whole FENSA industry and this level of incompetency at the top doesn’t reflect well on FENSA. Customer Services seems unable to answer an explicit question - what are they hiding?

Don't Waste your time with FENSA or any of its contractors!

I recently had a FENSA contractor install a composite door at my house. The work was sub standard and they left a 10mm gap under the door.I naturally wanted to contact FENSA to tell them about their contractor, however after nearly 3 weeks of trying to get into contact and actually getting anything moving, I gave up!!!There is no direct email address for FENSA, just a contact form on their website that is clearly not monitored. I sent six messages via this contact form. Not one reply In three weeks. The main phone number always diverts to a answer phone which won't take any messages because it is full.Their website is a joke, with spammy third party pop up adverts on it and no clear or relevant contact information. No complaints procedure outlined either.Rather than looking professional it looks and feels like something a 13 year old website design student has knocked up on their lunch break.I had to message them via Facebook messenger, after two days I got a response. I explained my situation, they said I had to register my door with them for them to do anything.Daft thing is that the door cannot be registered as by their own flawed rules it contains less than 50% glass! In a nut shell I need to register my door with them in order for them to start helping me, but their own rules prevent this. Totally ludicrous!I pointed this out to them, and they have resorted to ignoring me as it is clearly too much to deal with.(Also makes me wonder how an OAP who is not on Social Media would get hold of them?)This company is completely useless and not fit for purpose. Do not use this company or any of the contractors it endorses otherwise you'll end up in a big heap of mess. A FENSA badge doesn't mean jack! It's clearly there to give the uneducated public a false sense of security that the contractors they are using are governed by an Organisation with stringent standards. That is not the case at all. Any BoZo half wit dodgy glazing firm with £150 can pay FENSA to be be registered to trick the general public into thinking they are legit.Instead look for double glazing with CERTASS membership, they do exactly the same thing but are 100% better.I will be reporting FENSA to trading standards as they are unfit for purpose and the Government needs to intervene and stop this organisation from giving the Public the image that they are somehow a decent governing body for glazing installers when in reality they are amateur organisation who are totally toothless to stop rogue and dodgy contractors putting FENSA badges on their van then ripping off the public with shoddy work. They give the public total false hope.I wanted to give them a no star review, as they are sub-par poor.Avoid them like the plague.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM

This dreadfull company have poor customer service, not answering on emails and phones, once the phone was anwered the sound was interrupted and disconnected after short while. My windows was installed by FENSA registered company, but they never bothered to register this installation and refused when I asked to do so. I tried to register it myself on theirs website and order certificate but it is impossible. Later tried to contact FENSA directly and it is not possible also. Currently when I need to sell my flat I need a certificate. I think FENSA should be dissolved because they not meet the standards of customer service! Why government is tied with such rubbish as FENSA, it is a fraud!
