The pumps that come with their system have to be pulled out about every year, cause of a piece that wears out. They provide you with that part for free, but the cost to pull the pump is $500 to $1000 each time. I have their system, but I won't recommend it to anyone, and I will be replacing it this time.
My 380 ft deep solar powered well stopped pumping water. Called tech support and was given a number to call when. I was on site and with a multimeter. I called and a tech tried to diagnose problem over phone and guiding me to telling him reading of multimeter. Based on finding tech stated it was a bad motor. Only 2 1/2 years old. Oh well. I paid for the replacement and pull the pump out. New motor was installed and pre-installation check revealed the new .motor doing the same thing as the old one. I emailed them notifying of problem and no response. So I started diagnosing myself. Got rid of well cable and went straight to connect the power controller. Removed pump and ran motor by itself was still doing same thing. Not turning. Just buzzing. Old and new motor both doing the same thing. I emailed, called and texted and only a customer service rep told me that a tech was looking at my problem. I sent them videos of my situation. No response. 4 days have passed and I have livestock to provide water to and still no response. No email or text updating on the status of your work ticket. Overall I only recommend their services if you are willing to install and then not get proper support. Go local. Buy local and that way you can get assistance faster. I've lost days from work waiting for a reply from RPS and nothing yet
I've had an RPS pump for several years now, and I can say that my customer support experience is second to none. While I've had my frustrations in the past, RPS has always come through and helped me with my problems. My last issue occurred several weeks ago. I ran through all of their troubleshooting list and it ended up being a bad submersible well pump (wore out after a few years of use). I talked with a couple of people and eventually ended up speaking with Anthony. I explained the issue/frustration I was having, and he was able to get me a GREAT deal on a replacement pump, and they shipped it out later that day. I got the new pump setup and I'm now pumping water again! No company is perfect, but I've always appreciated the team at RPS. They really do try their hardest to keep their customers happy. Thanks for all you do!
Not only is the RPS packaged solar system easy to install and operate, but I continue to get world class customer service from their team. That's important to me since I'm not an expert at water pumps and electrical devices/solar panels. I always get clear and honest advice when I call with questions.
Literally the best customer service I’ve experienced in my whole life. Quality products with great technical support and customer service. They put me on the phone with an engineer to help diagnose a problem and a few easy tests later the problem was diagnosed and solved quick! If you’re on the fence about buying from RPS this is your sign to take the leap, you will not be disappointed.
The folks at RPS were very responsive and there equipment has been excellent. Our well is 130 feet deep and we are completely off-grid. My wife and I installed the pump and set up the solar array 2 years ago and have been enjoying free water ever since.
