Derek, our Development Manager, makes Colonel Stevens Court a wonderful place to live. He is a first class manager, very approachable, nothing is ever too much trouble. He keeps our building and gardens beautifully maintained. He hosts coffee mornings, events and wonderful parties always with a welcoming smile. He keeps us all informed by email and newsletters about what is planned and also when new residents join us. Thank you so much Derek for all you do. You really are a very special person.

Would like to sing Carol, the Development Manager at Chestnut Lodge. My father lives there on a permanent basis, and Carol keeps a very close eye on him and assists him in any way she can. We also have a flat there and when we are away she keeps an eye, and just recently we required work being done by the Maintenace Team and Carol co-ordinated and managed this in our absence. She is definitely an asset to all the residents at Chestnut Lodge.

Dreadful company, employees treat customers with complete contempt, service charges go up and up and service standards fall.
Got told out most recent property manager was leaving middle of January. No update as to who the new one is - the probably haven’t appointed one. Who would want to work for them?! But they’ll still charge us for their “services”.

Public records show they are millions of pounds in debt … I wonder hundreds of FirstPort developments are suddenly getting massive charges lumped on them for precious years that have been undercharged. Almost like they’re desperately trying to stay solvent.

I am a resident at Olympia Hall Green, where FirstPort is the property management company, and my experience over the past five years has been extremely disappointing.

There is a shared communal area located in the middle of 10 Kildare Close (where the road ends) that has not been properly maintained at all during this time. Despite residents consistently paying full service charges — including additional top-up charges when requested — there has been no visible upkeep, repair, or general maintenance of this area.

It is frustrating to see ongoing charges being collected while the basic responsibilities of estate management appear to be neglected. Residents expect that service fees will translate into actual maintenance and care of communal spaces, but that simply has not been the case here.

The lack of transparency around where the service charge money is going only adds to the concern. After years of paying, the condition of the area does not reflect the level of fees collected.

Overall, this has been a very poor experience, and I would not consider the service provided to be acceptable for a professional property management company.

Ive used so many management companies for my work. They are the worst I’ve ever come across and even within my trade. That’s saying something

Slowest moving management I’ve ever dealt with, they lost sales of my properties numerous times. High chance of losing your sale of your house.

Go somewhere else and save your self. That’s coming from a guy in the business. Wouldn’t be surprised if the guy i was dealing with was in the Epstein Files.

Probably can sue them for negligence actually. Hmm… :)

First port is the most pathetic excuse for a company I've ever been subjected to. They seem incapable of applying to a simple request. My wife and I are buying the other half of our shared ownership home need to transfer the account from a housing association metropolitan housing to ourselves. We have been ready to complete now for two months costing us £800 in rent that will never get back. FirstPort simply need to change the name of an owner on the Leasehold. We were even at a point when we were second guessing our solicitors but after reading some of the other reviews posted on this website it's clear that its FirstPort that's the issue as they are doing the same thing hundreds of people up and down the country.

Quick web search threw up several articles about the poor performance of this company an its dealings with government to try and improve, however is clear that this is not working for them. I would direct others to a guardian article from December as further evidence of this incompetence.

so, to whoever is reading this (I think it's Mo today) Your teams are clearly understaffed , clearly don't care about their work and your company clearly has no interest in supporting residents in a timely manner. If any of these were false, then somebody would have engaged and resolved our case by now.

Exceptional Management at Homebush House

My late father owned a flat in a residence, and the manager has been outstanding over the past two years. She consistently called to update me on any developments or if she required access to the flat. I have felt well-informed throughout this time. It's unfortunate that my father isn't here to recognize the excellent management now in place.

Outstanding Support During Water Outage

During the recent water outage, the development manager has been remarkable. He ensured that residents received bottled water and kept us all informed daily about the progress until the water was restored. I cannot express enough gratitude for all the assistance he provided to everyone.
