Used them for a few months

Used them for a few months, free account, only uploaded 30 or 40 pics of plants, then they deleted account and said they could not say why.

Terrible company

The only reason for one star is there is no option for no stars. I had a pro account, paid sixty odd pounds for it, it was deleted with no explanation after just over a month. DO NOT GIVE THIS DREADFUL COMPANY YOUR MONEY

Choose another photo hosting site

Wow after 15 years of being with these clowns paying monthly membership for most of that time I’ve found today my account taken down . I still have all y pictures but no one can see them. No point anymore Flickr has got worse and worse over the years . You need to look for a better platform you will regret it for sure if you use these for picture storage or hosting… Customer service is unreal to be honest no reason for their actions not even a response to my email.

Flickr not only stole my money, but killed my passion

Flickr not only stole my money (£111), but also killed my passion.for photographyI have been a member of Flickr for over 19 years (since 2004). During that period I uploaded up to 48K safe images (i.e identified by Flickr as “acceptable to a global, public audience for what would be appropriate for public viewing in any setting”) into different categories (albums). Throughout this time I had so many followers. However, on 12 June 2023 the Flickr support people, (Jenny, and Olivia) took a decision to delete my entire account of images without giving me any specific reasons for their decision or prior warning. I sent emails to the help desk to find out what violations in my safe images had been discovered. Both wrote me that “They are not at liberty to discuss the specifics of accounts closed for violations”, which makes it impossible for me to understand the cause of this deletion and what warranted the closing down of my account. To make matters worse, I had paid £111.84, on 18th May 2023, for a further 2 years subscription to Flickr. In the second email from the help desk, Olivia wrote to me that “Per our Terms of Use that you read and agreed to, Flickr does not provide refunds or partial refunds for unused subscription time should you close your account prematurely, or should your actions cause Flickr to terminate your account.”; but as far as I remember Flickr took £111.84 from my bank account automatically without any reminder about that clause agreement. Also I should mention I do not recall ever being provided with that term of non payment clause. I tried to contact the Don MacAskill, the CEO of Flickr and SmugMug in order to ask him why Flickr help desk had deleted my entire 48K images. I wrote him via Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin. Unfortunately I did not receive any answers from him or anybody else. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience with this website?

Privacy concerns

I created a Flicker account and the first thing I've noticed that almost my full email address was used as a user name. All privacy settings were also set on the least level of privacy.

Flickr has turned into a Cash grabbing monster forcing its already in place safe guards for NSFW photography with age verified accounts . now you have to pay to be an artist regardless i hope the new policy kills the site completely as i've taken MY work down and deleted my account and will refused to go back to their scamming site~

Only in the Pro version you can do…

Only in the Pro version you can do something and that is at least 6 euro a month. The menu is so strange, that i don't know when or what to do here. 1000 photos is nothing for a photographer, but that is free. After that you can only go on in Pro

Completely horrible site with the worst…

Completely horrible site with the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. They deleted my account with ZERO explanation after having a pro account and paying $70 a year for the past 8 years! I have NEVER uploaded nudity or copyright photos! Only family photos and videos. They still will not respond to me or any emails I have sent. Their contact information is non existent. They respond at will. I hope this company goes bankrupt and they all lose their jobs. Flickr is a bulls*** scam. I’ve lost 10,000 irreplaceable photos because of these scum bags.
