Review Time
Absolutely agree with all of these reviews. I had over 3.5k images on this site and then on 12 Nov 24 they randomly purged a few hundred without any warning to enable me to do something about it. When I logged into my account today a warning came up saying images AT RISK of deletion unless I upgraded and paid £60 for a PRO account, it did not say ATTN we have already randomly selected and deleted a few hundred of your images. So stupidly I paid the £60 expecting the blank thumbnails to restore to pictures, but no they completely disappeared and whilst they "fully sympathise with how upsetting this must be" there's nothing they can do about it because it was more than 30 days ago. Absolute disgrace.Be warned, avoid this shower of sh*te at all costs. There are so many other options out there now.Don't waste your money on this company!!
Unable to provide an answer to a technical problem with the flickr online photo editor degrading the original file. Not any will to figure out and solve the issue after 7 weeks. After this term, the customer service had even stop replying my numerous emails. A very poor at best and indecent sense of customer service for a paid subscription.
My paid Pro Account was Deleted with all photos since 2017 - 160,000 images, no warning, no reason, no explanation, no support response. ALL of my photos are gone and cannot be recovered. If you have your photos on Flickr - it's a time bomb, be warned!
No access to any of my 3 flickr accounts to download pictures that Flickr wants to delete (with only a few days notification of the pending deletion). The way Flickr verifies an account is for you to provide a copy of a picture you have in the account that you can't access. Duh!!!! Their temporary password didn't work to access the account so providing a photo from inside the account was the only option provided. Really very unimpressed that I am losing my pictures - highly recommend others not use Flickr ... ever!
Account creation failed, no matter what I do, it's all I get.All of my email addresses are "invalid", for some reason. The joke is it gives me a help link that offers no help and no access to contact them because I can't create an account.Oh well, that's that.I guess they don't want or need customers or subscribers with content.
Unethical Business Practices & Pixsy AssociationI’ve been using Flickr for years, but recently, my experience has soured due to what appears to be their close association with Pixsy – a company that seems to operate in a highly questionable manner.Flickr seems to be a front for Pixsy's aggressive tactics. Out of nowhere, I started receiving harassing emails from Pixsy, and was refused the option to check in directly with Alex Proimos the photographer. As Pixsy is not an Aussie company and because their approach felt very scammy, I thought it prudent to check in with the photographer. At the time of writing this I still have not been able to validate his identity. I have asked Alex to call me directly. The tone of the communication was threatening, more like a bully extorting money rather than a company protecting intellectual property. It felt like an attempt to shake people down for money rather than really supporting the photographers. It's extremely disappointing that Flickr, a platform once beloved for sharing and discovering photography, is seemingly enabling this kind of behaviour. It's put a damper on what used to be an enjoyable experience. If you're thinking of using Flickr, be prepared to deal with the shady and aggressive practices of Pixsy. Beware before sharing your content here.
Flickr deleted my account without any notice or explanation! I have nothing on my page that would be considerd nude or inapropriate and I have not in any way been mean to someone or anything. I have no idea what so ever on why they deleted it and the customer service is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of!
