Flickr is a community

Flickr is a community, after all that noise from the various social media apps, we need again communities like Flickr. I use it as an amateur and i am happy.

Today i used automatic upload by iPhone…

Today i used automatic upload by iPhone and all my Photo’s are published. I made pro photos in 15 years and published them in Flickr. By deleting the thousend iPhone pictures I also deleted my pro photos. It is not mentioned that of you delete your snapshot album the rest is deleted as well. I got sick of this. I want my photos and memories back! I am frustratef and angry. 15 years gone.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Flickr deleted all of my photos without any warning or notice. When I reached out to support they replied with a boilerplate response that I violated their terms of service without any specific examples of how my content violated the terms I agreed to. My pictures were created by me and were suitable for all ages. Some examples of pictures on my account included a rotary phone and a cow jumping over the moon.In fact, their terms of service state:"In most cases, when a community member violates a community guideline, our trust and safety team will reach out to them via email. We will be clear about the infraction, applicable guidelines, and the potential consequences. However, in some cases where behavior seems irredeemable, we may not."I would never trust this company with my data again. Their corporate entity named SmugMug, Inc is incredibly fitting. For an FTP last talked about in 2008, they are incredibly smug about their egregious treatment of their users. They made a mistake deleting my content, and they aren't willing to admit it or rectify it. If I could give them 0 stars, or negative stars, I would!

This company caters to liberal…

This company caters to liberal photographers & gives no credence to conservative ones. They deleted my account for no reason except I like our current President, so does more than half the country. Good riddance I don't need their website, bye

Absolutely heartbroken as they deleted backups with no warning

Absolutely heartbroken. I trusted Flickr with my most precious memories, only to have my videos permanently deleted with barely any warning. They sent one single email shortly before deleting everything - nothing more. Yet, when I reached out in desperation, they lied, claiming they had sent multiple notifications. That never happened, and I am 100% positive since it's my professional email and I always check the spam folder to make sure no work enquiries fall through the cracks. They did NOT sent multiple emails about this.To make this even worse, I was forced to pay nearly £50 just to retrieve my photos, only to be told my videos were gone forever. Had I known, I would have done anything to back them up in time - but Flickr never gave me that chance. Some of those videos were deeply personal, irreplaceable memories, and knowing they’re gone forever is devastating. Customer support made it clear there’s nothing they’re willing to do. No help, no accountability - just a cold, "they're gone and we can't confirm how many of them were deleted."If you value your memories, do not trust Flickr. This loss is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

DO NOT USE THIS APP

DO NOT USE THIS APP. Logged on after not using it for awhile, but I’ve had the app for about 10 years. Wanted to look through my childhood photos (grade 6-10) and discovered they had all been deleted bc i hadn’t upgraded to the Pro version. So I bought the subscription and discovered the photos THEY deleted cannot be recovered. I’m truly so devastated, I have lost all my childhood photos, with no warning. DO NOT USE THIS APP.
