I really have no major complaints against Flickr except for the occasional slowness or being down. I pay for the "Pro" membership. It's not expensive...don't recall how much it currently costs but it's not even close to 50 bucks a month as someone said. That Pro account gives me unlimited photos on the site and no advertising. If you're bothered by advertising or you have a lot of photos, the Pro account is a good way to go. Also I cannot understand how so many people manage to "lose" their photos. Doesn't anyone else keep their original photos and post copies on Flickr? If you are depending on Flickr as your absolute only place you keep your photos, you're just plain setting yourself up for disaster. Any website can crash. Any thing that stores images can crash. I've lost my photos in the past but I now have five backup drives of my photos. And I only post a portion of my photos on Flickr.
I was a member in 2015…. All my pictures of my kids uploaded in Flickr…. All gone!!! My kid had leukemia…Yes they send me among 25k mails also a mail that i needed to pay… missed it and now all deleted!!!Alllll gone. They have no clue what the impact is…..
I had some pictures which I had to change to restricted, they suspended my account,I've changed them and sent an email informing them I'd changed them,no reply even though I'm a premium account holder,Flickr customer service = not interested in what customers say
Been using Flickr for several years now, and though I originally balked at paying circa £60 per year, it's actually pretty good value for the functionality.I've not had any of the problems with the site others have claimed, and it's easy to use. It's great for curating your pics. The same pic can be in multi-albums and albums themselves can be grouped together in collections, again, the same album in multiple collections e.g. in one collection for the year, in another themed one, say skiing. It's like carrying around all your best photos, organised, around with you via phone, tablet or laptop.
Been using Flickr for many years , enjoy sharing photos and communicating with other photographers around the world.Unfortunately the experience has declined a lot as Flickr is now not working the way it was, should and the way Flickr itself would like it to be. Search engine ( tags) unreliable/ missing images, comments not showing for several hours, advertising push getting worse. All a bit annoying and it was and could be nicer !!And sadly Flickr doesn't even answer emails anymore, even from pro user !
what a joke these people are. When clicking on roxymandamn they say roxy hasn't posted any recent photos. Am I not surprised. Whenever I try to post some it either says name not available or if already a member sign in which doezn't work either. Looks like you will have to wait for them
spent half an hour putting up pics and writing descriptions. site is broken, gotta F5 spam and click buttons to go anywhere. it told me to buy membership first after spending 30 mins on photos telling me to buy membership to upload 42 low res picsthanks for a negative nothing, this site has to leave the internet.

Flickr is almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world. Show off your favorite photos and videos to the world, securely and privately show content to your friends and family, or blog the photos and videos you take with a cameraphone.
